I care more about 2.1. I'd prefer a to use 3 seperate channels (Right, Left, Sub) going to my Amps.
I would prefer to use my laptop, so USB Sound seems to be my proper route. A USB Solution saves me building a miniATX System and getting a good soundcard with optical/spdif/coax out.
So skipping the Silverstone and stepping up to the EMU line it seems it will handle what I want. And EMU is known for high quality pro audio. I could even get the EMU 0202 and use my Class A/B Amp passthrough. Would save me $50. Though I more than likely would buy the 0404
I havent found much info on the Alpine in a carpc environment. nor the EMU 404 so I'm doing a quick little poll.
you haven't fouind much info on the alpine in a carpc environment?
the alpine sets tha bar for audio in the car audio environment. dont get me wrong, the emu line of sb cards are amazing (from what i've read and talked to people in the 'know') but the alpine gives you 4 volt outputs, 31 band 1/3 oct. eq., or para eq, time alignment and 8 sets of rca outs (if memory serves me right)
