does anyone else find it funny that the model number for a Boss product is RIP?
that's great!
and yes, to get the manufacturers recommended volume, you need to check the manufacturers documentation...
what is sad is that they probably intended for it to be RIP. though most people will see it as meaning that the subwoofer is bad ***....where the truth is that the sub may just be bad sorry OP no offence.

well, i searched too and i'm at a loss. it's like the sub never existed at boss audio. you should just email them and ask them... they'd probably know better then we would.

Although they probably do not have the exact dimensions that you are looking for, a great site for reference when building sub boxes/speaker boxes is at: http://www.partsexpress.com/ they have all sorts of Faqs and advice and even free software that you might potentially use to make sub box calculations. Hope this might be of some help. Snoogins.
lol 'RIP' that is great. After owning a terrible HU from them its REALLY funny...
but anyway... call BOSS they should be able to give you the info or at least make something up on thier end to give you (no joke thats what the guy from pyramid audio did for my subs but anyway)
I suggest looking up "the car stereo cookbook" by mark rumreich. It has everything you want to know about sub boxes and how to calculate your own volume if the manufacturer doesnt give it to you
