4-Channel Car Amp
Hello All,
I am looking to replace my current RF Punch 600 and have narrowed it down to a few choices for a new 4-channel amp.
While I'm not necessarily looking for power, I once in a while like to turn it up.
Mostly looking for something with good range and clarity. I play all different types of music.
I have 2 way Infiniti component speakers (5010cs 5 1/4") up front and have yet to replace the rears - but they will probably be only 6x9 2-ways.
I have narrowed it down to some pretty good brands I think.
1) Alpine MRP F250
2) Kenwood KAC 8452
3) JL Audio A4300
4) Infiniti 7541a
I welcome all comments/suggestions around these amplifiers.
Thank you.

I'd stick between the JL and the Alpine personally, however, if you're not an audiophile and just want something that sounds good, they will all do the job very well.

i'm a big fan of the infinity amp, not so much of the kenwood. And JL and Alpine both have good reputations...

This is the 600.4 (4 channel).
Its a bit old now and I am getting static/engine noise to the front speakers. I have to put a noise filter on the rca's going to the front input. It takes a while for the amp to "warm up" and sound its best.
I'm leaning towards the JL - I've heard nothing but good things about the Infinity but it's just too big in size.

while JL and Alpine are good and well-known brands, consider other brands which are more prominent in the competition scene and will save you money.
to name a few in no order...
Hifonics
US Amps
Diamond Audio
Eclipse
Kicker
Orion Audio
Precision Power
Arc Audio
Memphis
Edit: I just bought this ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3030.html) about 5 minutes ago. They have a refurshbished one for ~$300.

I have the infinity, it's nice for sure, but like you said, the size is kind of big. I've been thinking of upgrading to a smaller nice amp.

regardless of whether you're an audiophile or not, theres a slight chance that you'll ever hear a difference in a good install.
but i have an alpine mrp-f240 and it works just fine for me.

eD has somewhat of a shiesty reputation for their past... i'd avoid their audioproducts personally, except maybe the sound deadener if it was last resort.
