a home stereo with external spakers? as opposed to....??

by 'molded the small house stereo into the car' what do you mean? you have molded the reciever and amplifier into the trunk of the car? how are you powering this? I hope not an inverter....

connecting 4 speakers to only 2 inputs in the car? in the car where? the stock radio? the home reciever you've molded into the car?

I cannot help you as I cannot understand your post at all...please try and be a little more descriptive.

I'll look past the why and try to help you.

So your trying to connect a home radio to your car. Things you need to know.
1. What it needs for power. It will usually say it on the back near where the plug connects.
2. What the rms and ohm rating of the speakers that are supposed to be connected to it are to insure that it will work well with you car speakers.

And now I am going to ask it... Why??? Its going to be difficult to implement and probably sound crappy.

Can you answer any of my questions above? You do realize this will probably not go smoothly...

well its a regular house thing... im thinking 110..
i opened it up and inside where the power thing is it says 94v-0

so im guessing it gona need atleast 94 vaults...
i was thinking of a power inverter but i heard its not the best way.

as fot the speakers in the car they are stock

the speakers in the system are small and dont say ohm's or rms or anyhting on them. if u would like i can take pics of what i need to do,

vaults? do you mean volts?

using an inverter on something like this is just plain nuts.

I would NOT recommend doing this, not at all. Cut your losses and find another way to make this happen. Use a dock.

OK. I'll throw my tuppence worth into this.

Again I'll ignore the why.

1 Sometimes things like this have a DC input sometimes they don't. Have a good look around and see if there is any form of socket that indicates it might have a DC connection.

2. If it has a hadphone out, then you could hook it up to a HU that has AUX in, much like we do with our Car PCs

3. This seems to be a real edneck thing to do. Where you from?

okay, i'll be the a-hole here. This is stupid and very juvenile thinking... Don't tear apart a perfectly good unit, leave that in the home. Some home equipment may work in cars, that doesn't work.

Or what you can do is sell that unit and invest your money into a good car stereo w/ an Ipod connection. Or you can go even further and purchase a CarPC to work in the vehicle. But again, i'm just trying to tell you that i've seen people do things like this before and it's not worth it whatsoever.

Btw. If you must, power inverter into the unit, take the audio output and hopefully your radio has an AuxInput and connect the audio into that. Otherwise, buy an amplifier, connect the audio output from the unit into the amp, from the amp to the speakers. I'm assuming you're trying to use as little money as possible? My recommendation, save your money up until you can get a half decent setup. That's what i recommend to MANY people alike.

yep...buy a screen with Ipod control, you can get some cheap screens now a days with that that comes standard...like the Jensen touchscreens. Cheap, but they work. Or go a step above and buy a better screen.... look up Jensen screens....www.audiovox.com and navigate to multimedia systems.

IMO the right way to do this would be to get a HU with iPod controls. Then take the dock out of that unit and modify it to fit with the HU (assuming you have a 2 din opening or another place to mount the dock). That way you get the benefit of the hu but still have the hideaway dock for your iPod.

Actually if you do it well it would be pretty slick.
