If the amp turns on, the RCAs are probably the culprit. Check them from the head unit all the way to the amp.
Also, test the sub to ensure it will fire. Take a small battery (i.e. AA) and place the + speaker wire on top of the + side of the battery, and the - speaker wire on the - end of the battery. The sub should respond with slight movement.
If the RCAs and the sub itself check out, it may be a problem with the amp. Ensure that the amp's settings are correct. Perhaps the switch that controls high-pass and/or low-pass filters was moved when you took the turn. Make sure it is set to low-pass, and the gain knob is turned beyond zero.
