00 Accord Couple

Hello, I've been lurking the forums for some time now, and I'd first like to thank you for all the information I've acquired so far from here. I have a 2000 Accord Couple in which I plan on installing an new audio system. I don't mind sticking with the stock head unit for now because I plan on installing a carpc down the road. If you guys could take a look at the components I have picked out and give me some feedback that would be awesome.

For both the Rear Deck and the Front Doors I've chosen two pairs of Infinity Reference 6012si's, to power these I thought a 4 channel amp would be best, the Profile HA1040. I haven't heard much about Profile amps but they appears to be decent, I'd really like your guys opinion on these. And finally, a Bazooka amp and tube.

Though I would probably get an response quicker at a dedicated forum, I hope it's okay that I try here first.

hey, i also have a 2000 accord coupe (im assuming you mean coupe). I have a pair of 6.5" CDT component in the front, CL-61, and some pioneer 6x9 in the back. The speakers are powered by a 4 channel Alpine MRV-545 amp. I also have one 10" infinity sub and an alpine mrd-605 amp powering that.

I personally have never actually hear the Infinity Reference 6012si's playing so I cant really comment on that, nor the amp. I do however recommend the Inifnty 6937.1i (I hope thats right) 6x9's and CDT CL-62 6.5" components. They have incredible bass and detail when played loud.

I would not suggest bazooka amp and tubes. They really do not sound good at all and most that I've heard sound like crap.

Almost any amp would do, as long as it can handle the power requirements of the speakers and have good controls; ie. crossover, rca voltage input, gain, etc.

check out this forum http://caraudio.com/forum/ ,
you'll get a bit more info there, then here. this forum knows more about the electrical side of things. overthere they no more about the sound side of things(yes its subjective, but still)

have you considered some Rainbow components instead of infiniti?
