So I have ground noise. I read the "Induced noise/Ground loop trouble shooting guide" and got somewhat of an understanding, but I still have some questions.
Here is my basic setup, stock head unit,
pie adapter, connected to a
aux in converter to my computer using a rca input to 3.5mm stereo plug adapter.
I have my pc being powered by a decent inverter. When I plug it in I hear a constant buzzing that gets louder when you turn the volume up, but stays constant at rev'ing. I heard music, but its very low under the buzzing sound.
I unplug it and connect it to my laptop works fine. Mp3 device, it works fine. I plugged in the power adapter for the laptop to my inverter, works fine. I then assume its the pc. This is a brand new aopen mini pc so I haven't even connected it to speakers yet because it has a built-in one. So I think it might be the sound port because I've never heard this type of sound before so I plug in headphone and it works fine. The computer still powered by the inverter. I thought it might be sort of interferance because its in my glove compartment so I move it to the back of my car outside my car for testing purposes and its the same problem.
I've unplugged everything from the pc except the power and nothing is plugged into my inverter other than the pc. It still makes the buzzing when I plugged in the stereo jack.
So I move my computer and inverter to my friends car and plugged it in and no sound nothing, clear as sound can be coming from a computer.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have yet to get a ground loop isolator, but I wasn't sure if I needed one because it works with a laptop and any mp3 device.

Will installing my CarNetix CNX-P1290 fix this?
I read somewhere, but can't find the specific post. Why can't I connect it to the battery ground again?
Really though some electrical systems just act differently.
