Problems with Philips Aurilium PSC805/17

I just bought this for my truck. The onboard mic on my pc sucks and my PCR is installed to it. So I now have this installed. My problem is I can't get it to play two things at once. Anyone else have this problem? Example:

Your using this to play your Ipod on your laptop. You can either listen to the Ipod OR the wave from the computer, Not both. What kinda crap is that? And the worst part is it sounds AMAZING!!! Now my xm and mp3's sound at least as good as a cd, if not a tad bit better! But I'm forced to go into the soundcard setup and change the input back and forth from wave to line in. Which won't lend itself well to using a front end. Again, Any ideas???
