Bass Remote Problem

Hi all ive got a FLI AMP bass remote problem, ive plugged the lead into the back of the amp and into the bass remote, nothing happens, its supposed to be a 0 - 24db gain and nothin happens the bass jus stays the same, ive contacted who i got the remote off they said this " This is probably due to the subwoofer being connected to the wrong channels, the bass remote only works on 2 channels not all 4. If you swap the subwoofer to the other channels everything should work fine" but what channel is what? ive tried changing them around n its still the same? ive got a FLI LOADED 800S AMP. my sub is bridged on the Rear and my 6x9 are connected on the Front. any help wud be apreciated thx.

OK I looked up your amp specs and manual. If you have the BASS Boost switch turned on the turn it off and try the control. If the switch is off turn it on and try the control.

If the bass boost control does not change anything after trying this experiment the you got the worng bass knob or it is broken.

My feeling is that you have the bass boost switch on and you are already getting the full boost from the amp, hence bypassing the functionality of the knob.

At 157.2 DB no one will hear you scream

hi thx for your reply. i tried what you said with the bass switch on and off, still nothing, its a brand new remote i have two of them, one for my bro n one for me and it doesn't work on his amp either. they are brand new remotes and work on all FLI LOADED AMPS. them amps are nothing but problems ive had 3 of them. i bought one 5 months ago it wouldnt work when my car engine was running so i gave that to my bro n it worked fine in his car and the second one blew up last week. so i took it back to the shop and got a replacement an the 3rd one i have now seems to work ok but ive sent off the warrenty incase something messes up again. they have only been on the market 6 months as well and FLI claim there amps out perform some of the best on the market for the money you pay £99.99 which i must admit is good value because they do put out well but jus seem to have problems with them all the time e.g blowing up, bass remote dont work etc.

You probably just got the wrong knob. I went to my local Cadence dealer for a knob for my ZRS-9 and he gave me the wrong one, luckily I tested it before I drove off. I called Cadence, and they mailed me the right one within 3 days, they even gave me half price for my troubles. Really great customer service.
