no headunit

hi all....im in the process of building an install..2 15" subs 2 amps and 6x9's up front...im planning on just using my ipod instead of an head unit...is there anyway i can do this...is there such a thing as a volume control box?

What about the volume control on you're iPod? That controls the voltage of the output signal from you're jack-plug.

Mayby use an jack-plug into two tulip-plugs and put them in the Amplifier.

Should work fine I think. But I haven't done it before so correct me if i'm wrong.

Where does the carPC go?

Just plug your iPod into an amp that powers your speakers (not subs and crap, actual speakers) and use the ipod to control the volume. Simple.

or if you're going out from the line out jack (for improved sound quality) you can get a logarithmic stepped attenuator. the unit i have is from here:
