Go to http://www.dodgeintrepid.net and ask in the appropriate forum. Either first gen or car audio.

you'll have better luck there than here with such a vehicle specific question. There's also a wealth of technical info there from downloadable manuals to adding factory options that your vehicle doesn't have.

How do I know?

My car- 2000 chrysler intrepid

Most aftermarket speakers are just a bit too small to fit into the door speaker opening without an adapter plate of some sort. At least they are in my second gen, not sure about your first gen intrepid.

Watch for screen name Great White. That's me.

Cheers

BJ

my 300M takes 6.5 just fine In fact, I can probably fit 7" better.

as for LH, DI.net is good, but for 300m specifics 300mclub.org is better.

300m is second gen like my 2000, the speaker size is different. Fits a 6.5 no prob with an adapter plate. My 6.5 pioneers went in no prob after I made an adapter plate so I could actually bolt them to something (factory speakers have asymetrical mounting). 7's would probably fit too, just watch the window clearance.

However, this guys car is a first gen LH (1996) and as such, 5.25.

Nice 300 by-the-way!
Cheers
