Taking internal amp out of head unit.
I was wondering if anyone knows how feasible it is to take the internal amp out of a standard 50x4 watt head unit. The wattage output can vary, those aren't strict figures.
I want to build my own integrated double DIN case, where the entire carputer goes in where the head unit would go, and the monitor would be right there.
I have seen some people on this forum do this, so I know it's possible. I want to include as many accessories as possible in this unit so I don't have a bunch of external devices and cables running everywhere.
That being said, I refer back to the original question of ripping the internal amplifier out of a head unit and putting it in a carputer case. How feasible is this? I want to use the internal amplifier of a head unit because they're designed to fit in a head unit, so I assume they would be small by default.
