Has anyone seen
this kind of thing before? According to the data sheet:

The TDA 7511 is a high performance tuner circuit for
AM/FM car radio. It contains mixers, IF amplifiers, demodulators
for AM and FM, quality detection, ISS filter
and PLL synthesizer with IF counter on a single
chip.
Use of BICMOS technology allows the implementation
of several tuning functions and a minimum of external
components.
The data sheet also gives an example of an application circuit. If you check out the data sheet the circuit isn't overly complicated so I am thinking of building one. What do people think? I would definately need help on the software side of things because I can't find any companies that use this chip in an existing design.
