What's the best setup with 4g's to spend
I have 4g's to spend on car audio equipment imo more than enough to get a GREAT setup in my whip right now. Im shopping for everything but dont want to make mistakes so help me out what are the best 12" subs and what amps should i get? now i want my system to be the best in my city something i'll be satisfied with for a very long time..need some professional opinions..btw I was leaning towards two 12" w7 but if anyone can recommend anything better then cool.

I hope that is without the car-pc Don't get me wrong, it can be done easily... You sure can buy nice equipment, but if you really want topnotch, forget it! When I'm gonna be ready, it will be about $5k, and I had to cut on several things (cheaper soundcard, speakers from brands unknown to car-audio....(but that's a good thing), and that kinda stuff) and buy second hand to net let it get out of hand.

I wouldn't spend that much on a HU, atleast, not if the install involves a car-pc.

You can go many ways with that type of cash. Do you spend more on speakers, amps, or subs. Here are some choices all around.
Components :
Focal Utopia (Not the Utopia Be Line) Setup <$1500
Morel Supremo <$1700
CDT ES7 Gold <$1600
Dynaudio 360 <$900
CDT HD Gold <$900
DLS Iridium <$800
Rain Audio Profi Vanadium Line < $800
Diamond Audio D9 7" < $700
Subwoofer
RE XXX 15" <$1500
Focal Utopia Be 8" < $1000
JL 13W7 < $800
Focal 33KX 13" < $800
RE MT12 < $900
Boston Acoustics 15" Oval SPG555 < $600
too many choices for amps, depends on what you get above
Memphis, Kicker, JL, Orion, Alpine F1, Zapco, JBL, Power Acoustics, McIntosh, Brax, Audison, Helix, etc. Choose amps after you're set on the speakers.

you can get McIntosh off of the list..... that's half of his budget
I'd go with some supremo tweets, Dyn kicks and a focal sub (if I had to choose from that list).

Why are these threads starting to sound like threads you would see on caraudio.com
"I have $xx whats the best setup"
"Loads of money, what to buy"
"$ XXX in Paypal, whats the best XXX"

One reason and one reason only:
The majority of the general populous has the IQ of a chunk of granite. As this hobby gets more and more popular, we're getting more and more of the general populus. The law of averages states that with the influx of the general populous, we will get a certain amount of those rock-headed individuals, sadly.

It's even started on digital-car now too. People who ask too much and think too little.

It's simply a by-product of the popularity of what we're doing.
As the hobby gets more media attention and draws more people, it grows.
Unfortunately, you can't expect it only to draw intelligent, logical-thinking individuals who are willing & eager to learn, either. Unfortunately, there will also be those people who aren't willing to learn, or do things too hastily or whatever.
