Focal FP 2.150 amplifier
Hello Guys!
I am bit confused and need help. I am thinking of buying Focal FP 2.150 use to a front stage. So my question: Is there any one who has tested this amp, I want to know about the sound quality. Do Focal FP 2.150 produce highfidelity?
I am also curious about alpine PDX full range amp ofcoarse the sound quality.
I would appreciate for an answere

the Focal amps have exceptional sound quality.
The Alpine PDX amps are mostly class D amps. IMO, they aren't in the same relm.
Another amp to consider that has supurb SQ: http://www.steg-america.com/models/k_series/k201.htm
Might even be a bit cheaper than the Focal you're looking at.
absolutely great sounding amps. Very live sounding, very linear, very dynamic, and very powerful.

What would you like to know?
The Focal amps are very high quality. What speakers will you be running with them?

I really want to know if they are good and compareable with others high quality amps on the market, This year i am going to compete in sound quality
so i need to know if its worthy investment.
Well I am thinking of useing "Focal K2" speakers or the new alpine "typ X" speaker model of this year.

I'll put it this way.
I'm sponsored by Orca - who is the importer of Focal/Steg here in the states.
The Expert car this year at USACi finals here in the states, running these amps, came in second. The car was finished on it's way to the show and had only 6 hours or so of tuning....if that gives you any ideas.
Another vehicle running the Focal amps in the advanced consumer high watt class won his class. IIRC, those were the only two vehicles running the Focal amps at finals this year (because they are so new). The Focal products are very nice. The two titles my car has won have been won with Focal speakers. The Kevlar speakers are excelent.

Ok! I understand what your are trying to say thanks for that. But do you know if there is a big difference between focal Dual monitor and the focals normal amps in sound quality. The test i have read is only about dual monitor
and this amp cost four times more. but no one has tested FP 2.150 the only thing i have to do, is to trust your words and go for focal. Iam going to use three FP 2.150 to the front stage and one FP 1.800 to the subwoofer.
By the way i still want to know if you have more information about alpine PDX. if not then you don,t have to answere that.

the dual monitor and the others should be the same as far as SQ. I know that they ran into a few issues initially with the dual monitor but it's supposidly all fixed now. They never had any problems with the rest of the line.
re: the alpine amps, don't know much about them.

I'm not running the Focal amps. I'm running the STEG amps.
A few of the members of our team are running the Focal amps.
You can see them in this thread: http://www.audiogroupforum.com/csfor...ad.php?t=63522
The honda civic and the green chevy truck are both running the Focal amps.
