hey guys i havent figured out to adjust the volume on my pioneer deh-p350 whenever i have my mp3 player hooked up through the aux.. if ya'll know somthing i dont let me know

Well...the smart *** answer is "there's a big dial on the front of your HU that turns one way or another..." but I think I know what you're actually talking about so I'll spare you.

While listening to the AUX channel, go into the Audio menu. There's a function labled 'SLA' (Source Level Amplifacation). If you turn that up (while listening to the AUX channel) you'll increase the amps your HU has dedicated to that source. Your Pioneer will save that in it's accessory memory but it'll keep the other source levels (i.e. the CD player and tuner) at zero. Nice little feature...

I had the problem that AUX didnt come up when choosing the input so I only had the choice between CD and Audio.

Somewhere in the radio's menu there is an option to turn the AUX function on.
You have to do that first.

I forgot how I did it but look for it but its in the same menu where you can choose that the volume for CD or AUX should be louder/softer than the radio.

close...but not quite...that function is in the options menu prior to turning your HU on. You have to hold a specific button in for three seconds and the menu with that particualr power switch comes up. The louder/softer deal you're talking about is the SLA and it comes up right after the subwoofer control in the standard audio menu.

Not to disregaurd anyone else's suggestions but it might be a different situation than all of you might think. For instance if the OP just hooked up RCA cables to the preouts instead of a true aux input.
The head unit may not have an RCA aux jack readily available without the additional AUX adapter. And the low volume coming through the speakers may be a back feed from the preouts, which can damage the preouts and the deck as a whole.
If this is the case then the OP needs to get the appropriate AUX adapter for the HU.
