Kurack is an unknown quantity at this point
What am i doing wrong, m2-atx wiring to amplifier

I have my carpc hooked up to 12v power and negative and also the accesory switch...the pc turns on everything is great.

I have a rockford fosgate amp hooked up to 12v and negative. How do i get the amp turned on? Im using the wiring from the zoompc case. I have the jumper with wires on J6 and on the other end one cable goes to the REM part of the amp and the other wire to negative <?>

I want to test my speakers and before i make everything nice i want power to the amps to test the speakers...what it the best way to get the REM part of the M2 to power up my amp?

When the car is running i am showing 13v going to the remote on the amp, the same(ish) to the power on the amp....but the amp isnt running. Is there something I am missing? Why isnt the amp turning on? The fuses on the amp are fine.

ok i got it working somewhat...my problem is the carPC runs always now...i dont even have the ignition wire hooked up! Why when there is 12v power present it turns the carPC on. When i turn my car off the carPC continues to run.

Are your jumpers for the m2-atx set correctly for what you want it to do in terms of startup and shutdown and is it configured in Windows for your computer to hibernate/standby. Also, the positive of the amp turn on jumper is the only one that you need for your amps to turn on.

your remote wire out of the m2-atx may be bad. I've had that problem while before I changed to the DSATX. The problem thats was happening with my m2-atx was the fact that it was putting out +12V but after I tested it further, the current was not powerfull enough for a relay, which only requires about 200mA if even that much. So you may have a bad psu. I just ended up using a timed delayed relay triggered by the IGN wire, instead of relying on the remote wire.

I forgot which one I had used, I just had one lying around at the time. I believe the part number is 555t from DEI, dont quote me on that. There are a lot of those things around with analogue adjustments or programmable, some more complicated than others.

I just looked now and if you go to www.soundgate.com ->Trigger Devices -> Amp Turn-On Delay #TRIGDLYA

Look for something similar to that...
