SEMA 2008 Poll and Discussion

With so many forum members attending shows around the country and the world, we thought a forum focused on shows would make sense so that we can share information to publicize shows, pictures from shows that we all attend and links to video.

Especially for members that are able to attend some out of the way car and electronics shows, especialy in Asia like the Computex 2009, it would be great to get some photos of new products coming out.

Mp3Car will be heading to SEMA 2008 in a few weeks along with many others on this forum and will use this forum and our blog to share information and pictures as well as video taken while at SEMA 2008.

We are also interesting in knowing how many forum members are attending SEMA, how many are showing a car, and if people are around for a Meet mid-week?

Wow- there are not many people going to SEMA?

We were thinking it would be good to have a Meet Up and one of the customers that we are working with for a custom project would like to come and show off their soon to be launched in-car entertainment services.

really - two forum members?

So far we have a meet up of 1! Yes! There have to be more people going to SEMA than one who care about car computing. We will have some cool stuff to show off near the bar. It will be worth your while.

Sema

Sorry,
Can't justify flying over from Australia to attend. lol.
I am hoping to attend the Canton Fair or Computex next year, so I can probably provide info and photos if I do go.

I'ld love to go, but seeing as it's not really open to the genral Public, adn it's in Las Vegas, makes it kind of tough.

Unless your sponsored or you work for a company that would send you, it's tough to get there.

ScanTool.net at SEMA 2008 -- Booth #10574

This will be our first year at the show. We'll be exhibiting various automotive diagnostic solutions (OBD-II hardware and software), as well as a brand new product -- a low-cost, professional ECU Simulator.

We'll be in the North Hall, Mobile Electronics section, booth #10574. By the way, Palmer Performance will be in a booth right next to ours (#10572).

SEMA Show 2008 Floorplan

Hope to see you there!

Will your car have a car computer? If so, do you have any photos or specs?

There will be no booth. There will be a gathering. We are mainly focused this show on recording cool car computing stuff and reporting it back to the community. If you see any cool stuff that we need to photograph, video or blog about let us know. We have press passes this year so we should be able to have access to all areas.
