I am having this problem as well. Station icons show up but no text. Works in all other frontends. There must be some similarity in all of our setups. The only thing I can figure is how I have XM connected. I am using the Hybrid cable and am having other issues in other frontends that the text works for a few minutes and then becomes illegible. Think it is the same thing as in Centrafuse.

I have read in other posts that this is generally a cable issue and am thinking of buying the USB connector for XM off of MP3CAR. Are any of you who are having this problem also using the Hybrid - serial to USB cable?

maybe that is all the issues... I made my own cable with cutting a simple PS/2 and wiring it to a 9 pin serial connector and adding 12V...

no drivers needed or every used, never used XM any other way...

maybe these adapters are causing different issues and that is why I cannot reproduce them...

I was talking about the XMDirect...

So you have the same issue with your XMPCR?

I am still going to pull the XM out of the main applicaiton, make it a plugin, and already have a developer lined up to make this thing finally 100%...

I must have talked about this issue being on my XMPCR about 100 times already. I see how much attention is given to PAYING customers.

It doesn't matter. I use Streetdeck now and it works, it's a great app, and I'm much happier. I see I made the right decision... I've been reading the "I have lined up," and "I plan to" and "I'll look into it," and "I can't reproduce this issue" for MONTHS now, and it looks like it's still not going to change anytime soon.

You didn't think XM was important enough to prioritize and, in the beginning, I understood that, because it looked like myself and maybe one or two other people were having issues with it. Well now you have multi-page threads about it both here, and on the flux forums.

Sorry David, Centrafuse is a great product, but since I use XM most of the time in the car, it's not for me.

To those of you who continue to use Centrafuse, and lean mainly toward XM, I sincerely hope you get a working XM module sooner than later, because outside of that, Centrafuse really is a great product. I take issue with the developer's mentality and lack of concern for losing customers, but that doesn't make the software any less of a quality front-end.

XM will be working, I have just finished making it a seperate plugin and I have contracted a developer to finish and make it 100%, also looking to add Sirius support while they are working on it....

The issue is not my lack of concern, it is the fact that I am only 1 person....

I sincerely apologize for the delay... I currently handle all support, work with sales, sole developer on the main application, and fly all over the world working with distributors on custom integration building custom modules for specific hardware radio units, custom plugins that certain companies need, etc...

We are in the proces of hiring help and things will get better....

again I do care and it kills me I can't still program all day and work to get things finished faster... I have about 6 roles I play right now and development is only one...

this will all be resolved, and XM and all other issues will be 100% fixed in the next major update...

Expect to see a seperate XM plugin to start testing within a week at best, 2 weeks at worst...

david

Don't become a troll Nola... You've made your decision.

It's no secret that I've been pretty vocal about my dismay with how some things have gone with CF, especially XM. Right now, CF is pretty useless to me, and I thought long and hard about taking the same line that you ended up walking. Add to it what I felt was a slap-in-the-face 10% coupon given all the time that I (and some others) have spent with this app for David.

But in the end, I don't like any of the other front-ends, and I have too much $$$ invested in the hardware to just pitch it all. So I bought CF SE, at full price.

At some point I gotta just believe that it'll all work...

@David - I know my last couple posts were not very pleasant or nice, and I do appreciate your most recent post. I don't know what it's like to be in your shoes, and I think I'll just leave it at that.

@midi - how can I not be a troll but still read what you have to say? (Just kidding). Joking aside, I'll admit that continuing to come back and see responses is borderlining on trolling, but I promise I'm not that type of person. I have a genuine interest in the future of CF, because I know that CF has the potential to one day bring me back. I definitely understand where you are coming from on it too, Midi.

That's why, in my last post, I made sure to make it clear that I am not bashing CF in any way shape or form... a lot of hard work went into it and it's a great app.

Ok, I promise no more posts from me unless I come back to CF. I truly apologize for treading the troll waters. Best of luck to everyone and happy computing!!

Point of clarification...

I meant "troll" in the sense of someone existing in a vendor's forum for the sole purpose of bad-mouthing said vendor's product or generally casting a black cloud over the project(s).

no need to say anymore...

We are working hard, just got done reading another resume... We are hiring more developers and everything will get back on track...

I have already contracted the XM development and it will add Sirius as well... I just have to clean up the plugin before it can get started...

I apologize for all the delays, my tasks have taken me away from programming because we have a lot to do... We are building up fast and will always be responsive to emails and forums and support our customers to the best of our ability...

veetid...this is a great app. Keep up the good work. Just get the XM working I have tested alot of other frontends and they all have their fair share of problems. CF works best for me so far.
