New XM plugin is now being worked on. Should have a test version for everyone to try by the weekend, or early next week. Can't promise any fixes in that, but I'm adding some logging to help us track down the problem...
See my thread XM/Sirius Worklog for details once the first test version is posted...

I was able to reproduce the garbled data bug. Watch my XM / Sirius Worklog thread for fixes...

With what version of CF? Things are fine in this regard with CF 1.47 and the XM module that comes with it.

This is the "worklog" thread that you may wanna keep an eye on...

Oh yes I'm using cf 1.20 trial. But I don't think that I'm going to buy a license if this is an issue because that's what I want to use most of the time. So is there any kind of patch for this or how would I get version 1.47.

Thank you

Ahh yes, I understand.

I can only tell you that the XM module, and CF in general has come a LONG way since 1.20. XM (and now also Sirius!) has been broken out into a separate module and has a dedicated developer working on it (his name is "Scott" for the sake of conversation). Scott's taken (what's now called) the Satellite Radio module, fixed a slew of bugs and added a number of nice new features.

I too use XM 99.9% of the time that I'm in the car, so I'm pretty quick to complain about things when life goes wrong. And umm, as David will attest, I'm not quiet about it.

Right now, XM is solid in CF. There is a "resume from hibernate" issue that appears to be global to CF which is causing XM to be silent on resume (but it's easily brought back to life). David's aware of this and looking into it. But again, this isn't a problem specific to XM.

All the weird display issues, single-click issues, no-audio issues, etc in XM are fixed. I've been on the forums here, and using CF, for about 2 years and it's stronger than ever. Scott's been a Godsend for the module, and the product overall.

My suggestion is NOT to listen to just me... Jump into that worklog thread and ask the people there what they think. THOSE are the folks that use XM every day.

I do think it'd be worthwhile for David to cut a new trial version.. Like I said above, 1.47 is way beyond 1.20. I know he's pushing on towards 1.50 soon, maybe he'll do it then.

Well, thank you for a quick reply. From what I have seen I don't think I'll be looking for a different front end. This is a great app and well worth the money.
