Online/Offiline

Can someone please tell me what method Centrafuse uses to determine connection status?

Im trying to work out my Offline issue that MAY be partly outside Centrafuse. But i need to know how it determines Online/Offline.

Cheers

I spent some time this weekend working on windows services dependencies for CF. I'll post a list of all of the services required for my pc later but here are some that the network connectivity icon rely on.

Com+ Event system
System Event Notification
Telephony

If I turn any of these three off the indicator will stop working.

I didn't want to use resources, I tried one version and it was really bad... It actually connected to a simple page to verify the internet was up...

I use wininet.dll and the method InternetGetConnectedState which determines if the machine has a network connection...

I will look to hit a site again and see if I can make it work...

David.

This issue is quite irritating. Is it fixed in the new version?

Looks like its a common issue. Take a look at this link.

I added a new detection method, you can specify a URL now for internet detection to bypass the method Centrafuse normally uses...
