Launch Delay

The launch is delayed due to packaging issues...

Due to the size of the installers and predicted download issues, we are going to wait on the DVD's to get pressed to offer both download and shipping...

We stressed tested the servers tonight worldwide and we feel this is the best thing to do... This way customers will not be upset when they cannot download because they will have a DVD on the way...

We wanted to pre-launch before fulfilment was ready, but we need to wait...

The files have been sent out to press and I will update when I know exactly when they will be ready, should not be long...

Brings a tear to my very eye

Oh well ... Sounds like it's only going to be a couple of days so I'm sure I can wait.

Was definately hanging out for this release too!

Once released, how quickly will updates be released? Similar to what we've seen recently or will there be a predetermined schedule?

awe man, I think it's really coming this time!!!

I haven't played much with cf since 1.7 & I gotta say, this latest release semms rock solid, I mean cf was a great app back then, but there were enough issues that made it feel less than perfect, now, it feels perfect, great job as I've said over a year ago, can't wait

Hey David, another question about updates: in XLE, how will be the policy on map updates? Will one have to buy a whole new Centrafuse package, once new maps are available?

David - Didn't you say if you already have maps you can buy XE and add your maps and it will work? Isn't the only difference between XE and XLE the fact that maps are included?

Is there gonna be one last trial period for the final release version before we have to shell out the cash?
