Newest Scandinavian/Norwegian Maps for Destinator 6 (Centrafuse)

The newest I know of is "Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland
Version 2006.Q1.4146".

Is there any newer maps? (The roads and POI's changes all the time you know)

not sure exactly when it will be, could be a few months... I will find out and post as soon as I know, but all I have gotten from Destinator is that they are still tesing the latest compile and will make them available as soon as they can...

we do plan to offer upgrade prices, not exactly sure what they will be, have to get the price from Destinator...

Would be nice to have the newest and most updated maps on my familys holiday during the next month, but it seems like that's to much to hope for.

I thought the Q1 stood for the first 3 months/trimester in the year and that the maps got updated every 3 months, that meas 4 times a year.

Guess it's not like that after what "veetid" writes?

Navigation companies generally update, recompile, and test maps once a year... Navteq does provide data every quarter for some reasons, many only twice a year, but the navigation company still has to get the maps, recompile them for their engine, and test them for quite some time before they are released...

ok, got the point... But a map that is almost 18 months old, is about to become an old map or what?

Since maps are a large part of the price for CF, i would think that the upgrade price for a map is larger than the discount we get for beeing beta testers... unless we can get some sort of estimate of an upgrade price for these maps... I would say it's worth the wait for the new maps.... or am I wrong?

best regards

we will get map upgrade prices posted as soon as they are sent to us... I am hoping they will not be that bad from Destinator... We do not plan to to any major upsell on these maps, but over them to our users...
