Ok, so I tested connecting my GPS device directly to a serial port (not through my serial-usb converter) and there was no difference in the delay.

Not really sure where to go from here as far as testing goes. Tried both 2D and 3D mode and noticed that both are slow, although 3D seems slower (probably due to the zoom rate of 2D and 3D modes).

I also noticed that the the display seems to keep up with direction changes (ie, when I turn a corner) even though it doesn't keep up with how far along the road I'm going.

I'm experiencing the same delay with XLE. Not sure on the exact distance of the delay, but I'm well past any given road before Destinator shows me to actually be by the road. I have iGuidance on the same machine, no delay. Probably not a GPS receiver problem, but a software problem. Using BU-353 gps.

good news, I have this fixed in the next update...

we increased the refresh rate of the map a lot...

the next version of 2.0 will be out soon, we have about 5 or so more items to fix then we will be releasing it...
