Thanks.
so the proper line is selected, but it does not unmute the playback of SPDIF?
if you manually unmute it you can hear it? Then if you switch to Media does Centrafuse mute it back for you?

Yes, if I manually unmute it, I can hear audio.
No, if I switch to Media, CF does not remute the line for me.

I'm now using 1.46 with David's patch above, and I'm having problems again with the text in the XM module. What happens is when you first open it, and everything loads, it will only load the channel # and category, and the rest are dashes. Now, if you click on any channel, the information WILL update with artist and song once you've clicked it, but only for that one channel you've clicked. Furthermore, you have to click on it again to get the information to update. In other words, I'll click on a channel, and the text will show up... but when that current song changes to the next song, the text does NOT update for that song information unless you press the channel again.
Very strange. Was it not working when you first installed 1.46 I thought I read? Can you re-try w/o the patch? Can you post your satradio/log.txt for me?

Hmm, well first we had 1.45, then SatRadio 1.451 patch, then 1.46, then CF 1.46patch, and as far as I can remember, 1.46 was doing the same thing, but I didn't pay as much attention to it because I was troubleshooting the SPDIF sound issue. Today, I actually played with the module more as I was using Buffer mode.
I'll try it w/o the patch again to verify.
I'll get that log for you and I'll start posting it automatically whenever I report a problem.

I'm not at my car right now to identify the timestamp of the file, but I will just to make sure when I get back to it. Althought it seems all is good now with that.
I was referring to this above comment that everything worked. I'll be looking for your log, will be out for a few hours after dinner but will look into when I get home...

Ok yeah sorry, I guess I was a little confusing.
Ok here's the deal. I went out and re-tested with both patch and non-patch, and it does look like the 1.46 Patch caused the problem. I rolled back to regular 1.46 and everything populated fine in the list... HOWEVER, even in 1.46, the song info still does not update unless you press the channel. So basically when you start the module, it will load the entire list with whatever artist and song is currently playing on each channel, but nothing of those will ever change unless you select a channel. Then that one channel updates itself.
Here are two logs for you
Thanks!

I see the problem but not sure why it is happening, I can't reproduce it here. Try the following two satradio.dll downloads, run both of them, let me know how they work for you, and send me the log for each one, let me know which log is which too... Thanks for your time in tracking this down...

Use this SatRadio.zip in place of the previous one I posted. Still use the SatRadio-N-I.zip from the previous post... Will be looking for your logs when you post them...

Scott, thanks a ton and sorry for the delay. I have not had a chance to test yet due to holiday obligations and whatnot. I'll let you know and get you some logs asap.
Thanks again.

The XM radio continues to a BIG disappointment, I endured continuous looping and fade outs with loss of signals etc. When retirning from hibernation it plays XM and MEDIA both at the same time. Also when returning(HORM) it takes a long time(upto a 1min) before you can hear anything coming from XM. The XM portion should be rewrote like the music player was rewritten. I personally don't care for the visuals, in that this is XM not a mp3 player. I think some of the problems appear to be centered around cpu cycles!

Ok this is really weird smeesse;
I got 1.461 XM working in centrafuse version 1.20. But i cant get it working for centrafuse version 1.46..... ????????????
although, im only getting 4 channels... but im not sure if this is an activation problem or not.
i get channel 1, 130, 143 (doesnt actually work, but shows up and refreshes) and 247....
is there a way to manually refresh the xm channel list? the one in settings doesnt do anything.... & my signal is 94% and T is 0%.... what does the T mean?

That's an indicator of an unactivated radio.

You won't get any more channels showing up until the radio goes active.
"T" is for "Terrestrial", as in "ground". XM (and Sirius) has a network of ground based repeaters to broadcast the signal in areas with tall structures which would otherwise block the sat signal.
As for it being 0... I haven't seen it be non-zero in quite a while. I used to get a strong ground signal in my area, but I'm not any more. That in turn is causing a number of dropouts in areas that used to be fine (an XM receiver is design to switch to the stronger of the two signals within a range).
I have faith in Scott - he's taken the XM module from something useless to something that I can actually use without wanting to through something at the screen. But, there's definitely been a hiccup in the plan though the last couple of releases. I'm running 1.451 - it's been the "best" in the recent releases.
I refuse to move to CF 1.46 in general 'cause I'm sick of having to reset all my button choices, config options etc. David claims that the 1.50 release will auto-upgrade.

Awesome, thanks midi.
It seems to be working fine now. Just incase anyone is in the same situation as me, all i did was kill XM (click on media in CF), go to settings, sat radio, and hit refresh channel list. i just let it sit right after that for 15 minutes and now its perfect. I also did the XM refresh on their site ( http://www.xmradio.com/refresh/) about an hour earlier.
I have faith in scott, he's done a hell of lot more than i could ever do.
Now that i have it working in CF 1.20 (i also havent updated my real car setup), im happy for now and will watch for updates. thanks scott
as for terrestrial signal.... here in wichita ks i dont think there's much need for repeaters, except for maybe right downtown (where im not)...... maybe that explains it? thanks for info
