Why so much $$$?
I installed centrafuse and I do like it, I would like to run it as my frontend, but then I saw the price of 120.00 for this application, I was somewhat shocked, grand it has a few more fetures than RoadRunner, but nothing to justify that price, I will just use RoadRunner, 120.00 is way to steep, I would go up to 40.00 for a frontend, Im sure Im not the only with these views, how did you come up with that price?

Software developement is not cheap. Look at the price of StreetDeck.
And just so you know all the options with navigation, the money goes directly to the nav company.
I havent used CF as I myself like RR, but you have to acknowledge the hard work David has put into it, and I am sure it is a great piece of software.
Sort of like why buy Microsoft Office when you can use Open Office? Makes no difference, but some people prefer different layout styles, different small nuances, and are willing to pay for that. I use M$ Office.

Why does Windoze cost $200?
Why does AutoCAD cost $4000?
Why does RetailPro cost $2000 for a single computer?
Why is the grass green?
Why does Angelina Jolie adopt foreign babies?
David priced it at a point where he believes the product will sell and will still pay for all the production costs (such as licensing for nav data as Toaster mentioned).
Don't like the price? Don't buy it. That's what we call a free market economy.
Deal with it.

the software you mentioned requires 100`s of coders and team members to build, there is huge expense involved, All the other coders for most front ends RR/MC etc...arnt looking to make money on this, they do it for a hobby, this is where it all started, I just asked where does the figure for 120.00 come into play? not including nav software, just the standard edition. No need to get so touchy about it, and sarcastic, Im just asking a question. RR is just as good if not better than the CF standard edition, and yet its free. I could understand the high price for the NAV software with the GPS versions.

why do you buy a lexus over a toyota? both have seating for five, an engine, 4 wheels, ac, am/fm/cd, etc. yet one costs twice as much. enough said.

I chose CF because the look and feel is solid and the software runs great. I can load a playlist of 3000 songs and scroll through it without the software locking up. I had plenty of trouble with large playlists in other programs. I'm at a point now where I want a good solution but I just don't have time to tinker. You have to account for the time somewhere, several hours here and there to get another package configured would eventually add up to the cost of CF. It took me longer to get my music onto the box then it did to set up CF. I'm very happy and it' s a great product.

RR is as good if not better? Please, don't make me laugh.
The CF price is MORE than justified.

I used CF for 30 days and am not that impressed, I mean sure its a nice frontend, but not worth 120.00, I went back to RR does the exact same thing as CF standard does and its free.

there are a lot of great frontends... our cost includes future development and support, you can pick up the phone and call about a product that you purchased, or send an email and get a response...
to all his own, if the price is too high we understand... the prices are set where they need to be so that Flux can continue to support the product, improve the product, and offer support turn around times by email, forum, and phone as fast as we possibly can...
We appreciate the support and understand the others that don't want to spend the money...
We greatly appreciate the entire community either way...
