I don't know the exact answer to your question but if you're outputting straight to the amp, I doubt you'd want the volume up that high all the time. If you're outputting to a processor with a separate volume control then you could get away with running the volume at 95%.
My sound runs through an EQ, which is where I control the volume from, then to the amps and I have my volume set in Windows at 75%. If I start to go higher in Windows the volume increments get too large for me to comfortably control from the EQ, but I don't notice any change in SQ.
