Sounds good. These cards are available at frys and relatively cheap ($30 or less).
I'll go ahead and take some screenshots later today and post those.
Thanks.

the ultimate would be it pops over, then returns to previous screen till the next turn, is that possible?
I guess I could do it on a delay, I have no event for turn is over...
not sure how much to delay...

I would say not long really, I mean enough of course for the information to be absorbed & that's it. if someone is lost or really intent on nav at that moment then they could always just switch to nav display, but if something else is being displayed anyway, then the nav is secondary background really, & to have it dominate & just take over under those conditions isn't the most graceful. alpines nav will pop up the display, speak it's piece, & then return to whatever was primary in a matter of a few seconds.... that would be really nice & clean & better integrated feel.

OK, well I have the wcz service running and have 'use microsoft client' or whateva it is selected. The wireless adapter is definatley working as I can find networks using the Wireless Zero client as well as net stumbler & wifi hopper. I have also checked the xml and there is no device name or guid.
Anyone else having an issue using a wireless adapter in CF?

I did have initially - it wouldn't pick up my Belkin USB adaptor.
However, when I configured a button for WiFi on the front screen menu, all of a sudden it started working.
When I went back into setup it had added the adaptor OK.

Hmm interesting. I tried David's earlier advice of registering the wifiman.dll however that file did not exist on my system. I wonder why it is not being extracted during installation.

this should be working in 1.46
It is working now on 1.46.
Btw it is remembering the last city used. Nice.
I have a question, is it possible to show the Favorite POI icon in the map? There is no "Show" button for Favorites.

don't know if it's already in this version implemented, but a friend of me has a tomtom, and when he types in a destination, his tomtom shows a map of the total route, then he can click ok to start navigating... this is so cool...
now my nav sends me to my destination, but i can not easily see how it's sending me...
hope you understand what i mean...
could this be added in the future?

The issues must be related to soundcard driver. I have silabs device and it works flawlessly under CF. I run it in unbuffer mode and I don't have a problem with anything. I did notice that since 1.42, the RDS text is perfectly rendered.
Now, if I could only get my blackberry working in my car I would be happy.

MainVolumeOnSMS Still isn't working in PhoneControl either. I know thats Zorro but its still a problem.
Also with the streets/ave's. My maps just show the number. 113,115 etc. It doesn't say ST or AVE. How am i suppose to know?

that is strange, try running the 1.46 update again, or even extract to another folder and get the file, it should be registered...

that is a show route function... I do not have access to one in the current Destinator engine, but would be a nice feature if I can get it added when we update the engine...

Ok this has worked - I extracted the 1.46 update on my home pc and grabbed the wifiman.dll from the system32 folder, threw that onto my carpc and did the regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\wifiman.dll . The wifi manager now works perfectly. I don;t understand why it didn't extract from the installer on the carpc.
With the wifimanager is there a way for it to constantly update ala netstumbler and wifihopper rather than having to hit update every time? Also a great feature that has been discussed in the plugins area is for POI's to be generated and added to destinator automatically.

David,
I looked through my soundcard options and preferences menus and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Nothing worth taking a screenshot of unless you really need it.
I am still confused if this issue was a result of the new music engine or if it is something else entirely. I had no problems before 1.44. Everything muted and unmuted correctly as it should.
Anything you need from me to help get this issue resolved? I have gone from a audiotrack soundcard to the audigy LS so I could stick with centrafuse... now I am having problems with compatibility with this soundcard. I really don't want to resort to using onboard, as it sounds awful and there are not enough inputs for XM and radio.
Thanks
