Is it normal?
When the volume is to the max or to the min, the flag "volume" does not appears anymore.

Is ti possible to have a new function in "My library" : "Folders".
It would work like "Music folder" but could explorer any folders of our HDD, like Windows Explorer and could see any file such as video, pictures, mp3, etc...

I also determined. After the volume on max. ones is and the Button again presses appears no more Popup!
And: A Resume of my music does not function also. Thus if one returns from the Hibernate plays the music from the outset!

MarcelP seems to have the same problem and have explained better than I did.
If you click several times on up button untill max volume, the popup apears saying "volume max".
It deseapears after a few second. If you click volume up button again the popup doesn t appear anymore. The problem is exactly the same if you try with min volume.

[b]Since WE(midilevel and hgreen70) got no response here it is again[:/B]
NOTE:I like CF as a whole and this review is meant only to help David and his crew with faster more informed development.
Well I had the pleasure or mis fortunate depending on how you look at it, of traveling 750 miles with CF this week and here is what I have found.
my setup : CF 1.46, intel celeron 215, 512 mb, 80 gig 7" touch screen. mounted in a car pc chassis.
The media player performed flawlessly I played a total of about 20 albums strait about 300 songs. it performed great with no problems at all.
The XM radio continues to a BIG disappointment, I endured continuous looping and fade outs with loss of signals etc. The XM portioned should be rewrote like the music player was written. I personally don't care for the visuals, in that this is XM not a mp3 player. I think some of the problems appear to be centered around cpu cycles!
The NAV portion gets mixed reviews. It tracked very well. When going from state to state the regional maps did not automatically change, I had to change it manually and i did not always know what file the state was located in. I could not program a route from Maryland to Atlanta because it would not find Atlanta(Ga). When I loaded the maps the fast search buttons(gas, food, hotel) would only pull up the main poi window and not the poi closest to your location. This worked perfect while in Maryland.
My biggest complaint is with the volume. I had a hard time controlling volume. My Cadillac has a amp built in. The computer is connected to the amp via a wiring harness
often times the volume doesn't stay in position. it also gets too loud, over driving the factory amp. How to fix this I don't know.
Other problems faced. when coming from hibernation both XM and media would play.
DVD's did not play well. This I believe is do to windvd 8. Windvd 8 video quality is superior to any other player I have found(open to suggestion) and the computer plays dvds very well in the application its self as well as wmp.
so the questions are:
should the nav change maps when going from region to region?
how best to control the volume?
why does the poi quick buttons only work in Maryland region?

there have been some volume improvements in the next update, been working on this, especially related to the volume while in navigation and speaking directions...
the maps should load when going from region to region, are you using XLE from our website?
the POI should probably work as well, this has been tested with all the maps that Flux sells...
please post your XM issues in the XM thread and Scott can take a look at them, we are working to fix a couple of issues such as the both playing and I have made some improvements on the buffer since 1.46...
The DVD not playing has to be some codec issue... Do you have WMP10+ installed? I use this in the car on a regular basis and have never had this issue...
the cross region routing has also been improved in 1.46, you no longer have to do any planner mode stuff, you just hit New Address, hit Change Map and select the map for your region, it auto switches back to New Address and you enter the address and hit GO and you are finished...

I am using the XLE from your site. I have media player 11 installed, I have windvd 8 installed no other. It plays choppy in CF, smooth in media player and windvd itself.
In regards to the NAV could it be something is wrong with the map files?

you have XLE North America and as you drive across regions it does not auto load the maps? Also you say the quick POI links only work in one state?
Is the USARoads folder inside Centrafuse?

As to clarify. As I drove from Maryland to Atlanta My CF would not change regions on its own. It would only display the I-81, no exits and POI's. POI buttons on the front screen would only work in Maryland and Virgina(my home area). I had to change maps manually and POI buttons still would not work like normal. They would take you to the main POI screen and you would have to choose what cat and place to go.
I have a usaroads folder.

sounds like it was loading the USARoads folder, which does not contain detailed roads or POI data... it should have been loading the large maps for each region, when you hit change map what comes up in the list? do you have an error.log file?
david

David,
Any further developments on the un-muting of the SPDIF playback line of the Audigy card? When we last left it, it worked (for the most part) in Buffer mode, but not non-buffer mode, which is what I need. I have no idea if this will help or not, but when using XM in SD, if you have the Windows Playback Mixer open, you can watch and see the SPDIF In channel's 'mute' tickbox get checked and unchecked as you switch in and out of the XM module in SD.
Oh, also, when we last left it, even in Buffer mode, when I go to Media while having XM audio playing, the XM audio does not mute when I start an mp3. The audio output is simultaneous.
Thanks.
