Centrafuse 1.46 Update
Here is the Centrafuse 1.46 update.
http://www.fluxmedia.net/downloads/CF146.exe
This fixes multiple issues reported from 1.45
This update will still reset your button actions, you can backup buttonactions.xml in your Centrafuse\System folder before installing, then copy it back to avoid this problem.
It will also still reset a few plugin configurations, this will not happen with the final 1.50 update, but these quick patches reset a few plugin settings. Simply go back into your plugins and verify the settings are correct for OBDII, SatRadio, Weather, and Email.
This fixes the failed to load resources issue that the WiFi plugin caused.
The startup time has been increased drastically in this update.
You can click the current street in the header of navigation to show altitude and number of locked satellites, it will auto switch back to current street in 20 seconds or you can click it to go back.
The estimated arrival time and remaining time now also toggles and shows remaining distance.
If the quick POI links in navigation do not work with the maps you are using you can now create a mapping for the POI categories, open the poicategories.xml file in the root Centrafuse folder, it includes an example. You would also use the program DestinatorPOI.exe included in the Centrafuse root to get the category ID's needed to add to the poicategories.xml file...
Few other issues have also been fixed.

Problem #232932: First its getting annoying losing all my settings, skin choice every update. With that said, first boot after 1.46 install. I change the skin. The settings menu reflects the skin i changed to.
I goto the home screen. Its still Aura...
Close Centrafuse and reload.. Its now using the correct skin.
Not a big deal buty the first release ive seen this happen.

Centrafuse startup time. Down to 25.2.. Better but still alot slower than it use to be.. Wondering if theres a clash with a piece of my hardware as i seem to be the only one reporting it.
Really wondering whats happened as my PC has had no changes and runs EWF.

CF takes some time to load on my carpc as well, however after removing all the plugins that I don't use (Email, satradio, cam etc) it sped right up. I don't have an exact time, but it doesn't bother me anyway as I hibernate rather than shutting down.

sorry about some of the settings, it's a few plugins, the skin, and the buttons... this will not be a problem once I get the MSI installer that properly updates finished, just have not had time to build it and simply use a self extracting executable, which just copies files, which makes it hard not to overwrite settings...
once I get 1.50 built, I should be able to use that finally install/upgrade MSI to make future beta releases not have this problem anymore, I plan to start working on this first of next week...
I cannot reproduce your skin issue you reported, can you reproduce it?
your load times are strange... The update did do something on your machine, cut your time in half which was expected... It cut the 14 second load time I was having to about 6-7 seconds, in half...
if you remove all the visuals from the Visuals folder does it load faster? Maybe the new visual loading code just does not run well on your system, it using a completly new threading model and is much more stable and compatible, but is a little slower...

All of the issues I had listed from 1.44 are still here, with a few more I have found over the last week that 1.46 still has...
--Most notably, the radio is essentially unusable.
As I mentioned before, when I enter the radio module, everything works (buttons, RDS data, station changing, etc) except there is no audio. If I minimize CF and go to the windows mixer, unmute the aux in, and mute it again, I can hear the radio (with the working buffer) playing. This happens whenever I leave the radio module or enter XM or Media. I come back to radio being muted entirely.
--Second issue which has become increasingly more annoying is the Buffer (noticed in XM only, as the radio hasn't worked for a while now)
After 10 minutes or so I hear a few blips of static every few seconds. It slowly increases 'til its to the point of constant stuttering. While its doing this, the time display jumps from various times to "Live". Sometimes it'll only show 00:01 and others it'll show 29:56 or something else.
To fix it I have to leave XM and enter media, then re open XM. Unfortunately it starts back up 10 or so mins later though. If I pause or press forward it'll briefly ease the problem, but within a short time itll start right back up and begin stuttering.
--Strangley, after giving up on XM for a few trips I noticed some light static blips and stuttering in the regular media player that I havent heard before. Could these two issues be related to the changes you mentioned you made to the core media player?
--On occasion after exiting CF and opening it up again (sometimes after a restart) the media playlists will all be blank. Nothing showing in the HDD or CD playlists.
--The last issues have to do with XM again and I believe smeesseman is looking into it...
1. When I have been playing XM for a while and then enter media and let the computer go into hibernate, when it resumes from hibernate both XM and media are playing.
2. When I am in XM and leave XM (press back) and then re enter XM without going to another audio source, sometimes XM will pause.
3. When XM is playing and I enter media, then return to XM, and finally return back to media, media is sometimes paused.
If I spend more time I can get steps to reproduce these more easily than I have posted above. Let me know if you can't reproduce them... this was just a list from memory of the things I noticed that were a priority in my mind.

With the new update, the WiFi manager opens up properly however it says 'no wireless device found'. Is there anything special we need to do to set things up? I tried going into setup however clicking Wifi in the settings menu doesn't actually take me anywhere. Is this correct behaviour?

wifi settings should load with a couple of options... The adapter should be auto detected, make sure the wireless adapter name and guid are empty in the WiFi\config.xml...
also that will happen if you load Wifi with your wireless adapter is disabled...

sorry you are having so many issues, I am unable to reproduce any of these issues...
Are any other users having stutter issues with audio in default media playback?
Are any other users having trouble with the Radio working? We have many customers using the Radio features without any problem in all the previous versions and this one...
I will have Scott try to reproduce the XM issues, including the stutter and Live text switching issue...
I am also trying to reproduce the missing playlists when loading issue... Can you post your error.log file?

Just wanted to mention that after installing 1.46, the first time I started the Media module, it said "Loading" for about 1 minute before the module finally started up. It only did this the first time. All is fine now. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else sees it. In prior releases, even when settings are reset, I've never seen that before.
In any case, it's not a big deal b/c it only happened the first time.

it might have had trouble initially reading your old playlists, which I do not reset... can you check and post your error.log file, this might help me track down the not loading playlist reported issue...
"C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Centrafuse\error.log"
sivart321: I am looking to try and track down what might cause this audio stutter issue you are having, I have never heard this problem... Checking to see if any of the audio updates could have problems with certain sound cards, or DirectX versions, or something...

I will go grab the error.log file in a few minutes.
Regarding the radio, if I plug in my silabs radio it works fine. I did notice though that I still get the problem where if I flip between XM or Radio and Media a few times, one of the two will be paused when I enter it. I am not quickly flipping back and forth. Just casually going from one to the other, and then arriving in one of the modules with it paused and no audio playing.
A while ago in 1.44 I mentioned that my XM install somehow was corrupt and wouldnt even open, even with the files you guys gave me to replace. When I installed 1.45, XM worked again.
Do you think my installation just somehow has gotten corrupted causing many of these issues?
Would you reccomend uninstalling CF completely and installing 1.20 with the 1.46 update?
I am willing to try whatever you think is neccesary to resolve these issues. If I truly am the only one with these issues I imagine it could easily be a corrupt installation on my end.

You can click the current street in the header of navigation to show altitude and number of locked satellites, it will auto switch back to current street in 20 seconds or you can click it to go back.
The estimated arrival time and remaining time now also toggles and shows remaining distance.
those 2 are very cool, thanks for that. there is one thing that drives me nutz though when using destinator in cf, that is the next turn indication. it always shows the distance of the trip till that turn. IE: > turn 6.3 miles. it would be so nice if instead it showed the remaining distance to the turn. don't know if that's been discussed before or if that's possible or ??? man, cf has come a long way... beautiful overall

It's possible something has been corrupted through all the Beta updates... Post the error.log or email it to me at support, then I will know more of what might be going on...
Also testing Centrafuse on another system will let you know if it's that computer or not...
