Running a little freeware program called UltraVNC Viewer (and server)...
The server is running as a service on the Car PC...
The viewer program (4.6MB) is installed on a USB jump drive...
Now, whenever I might be at a friends (with WiFi), I can use the car to connect to his network, run the UltraVNC Viewer from the USB drive in his house, and share music, make playlist, etc...basically do everything I can do while sitting in the car with keyboard + mouse!

Also, running APOI plugin, I might not even have to manually connect to the network...it should do it on it's own...
I use my Viper Alarm Aux channel to remotely fire up (and shut down) the carputer, and it has a NICE range on the remote too....
