@scion & eliaz & and anyone else who will ask: If your phone has bluetooth and supports the Handsfree profile, the majority of the core functions should work. Some phones may display issues with contact importing or other ancillary functions, but making and receiving calls should work with any phone with BT and HFP.

Ordered CF XE, never got phone to work, BlueSol see's phone (Motorola i580), and links with it, shows up in CF, but wont dial or answer.
Oh well, waiting for the new phone patch.

BlueSoleil stack technically isn't supported in PhoneControl anyway... the only way you could even start to get satisfactory results in PhoCo was by using the Broadcom (Widcomm) stack.
It's moot now since the new module is coming out.

Just wanted to throw an update out there that the new Bluetooth Module is working very well so far in alpha testing. Say goodbye to your bluetooth phone woes if you had them . It will be ready very soon for beta testing...
To answer the question I already saw a few times, and will be asked again, if you're phone supports the handsfree profile, it should work with our solution. If it supports the headset profile only it will still work but with limited functionality. And yep, to the more specific question we'll get, blackberry and iphone both support handsfree profile.
List of Current Basic Features:
Search for devices
Save and pair to multiple devices
Connect/AutoConnect
CallerID
CallWaiting
Signal Status
Battery Status
Multiple-Caller Support
Basic Phonebook
VCard Importer
OBEX Server to accept contact push from remote device, integrated with phonebook

CF 1.47 and below does not use Bluesoleil, the version you are using supports the Broadcomm stack. Do you mean Broadcomm? No matter, Centrafuse with the new phone build will be available very soon, and no longer uses the unreliable broadcomm stack.

Thanks Smees.
Bleusol was what was on there when I got the system (with CF installed) from the vendor.
No matter, I have uninstalled it and will wait for the new patch.
Thanks

will any USB Bluetooth adapter work for this or will there be a specific adapter required. Mine is a USB 2.0 Bluetooth 2.0 adapter. In windows it says "Generic Bluetooth Radio"

I have a bluetooth chip that uses the toshiba driver for bluetooth stack it supports pretty much all the bluetooth profiles.....Are widcomm drivers going to be required for the new phone interface? hopefully not.

The new phone utility will include all software necessary to locate and use your usb bluetooth device. No extra drivers will need to be searched for, and although we do not have a list of specific bluetooth dongles that are supported, there are a WIDE range of them that are. The only dongle that I believe will not work are Broadcomm based, which require firmware upload on init from what I remember. If anyone is looking for a recommendation, I am using DLink DBT-120 for most of the testing, and it has been flawless.

Scott, MOST BT dongles I've ever used are Broadcomm-based. What drivers does the D-Link dongle come with?

Nevermind, I see it uses the Toshiba stack. Interesting. If CF won't support any Broadcom-based dongles, that is going to significantly limit the amount of usable dongles since the majority of dongles are Broadcom. But it could be worse... you could be required to buy a proprietary dongle for a BT module that doesn't even work... like some other F/E's.
