I have a couple Belkin products that have actually been pretty decent, but their BT dongles are the pits. But it's more a software issue than hardware.

Thanks for the heads up Nola! I purchased that dongle from something I read, but some how got my stuff confused and got the wrong one, lol! Oh well, live and learn!
For the eBay D-Link DBT-120 dongles, I noticed there are white ones and gray ones... No info on which revision each is other than housing colors. Can anyone confirm they're the same or one is a higher revision than the other before I purchase? THANKS!

I know that the black/orange ones are newer than the gray/blue ones. I have not seen the white ones yet.

Wow...you can hold it down to once a week? That's some willpower!
I understand that it's a 3rd party issue and that they will release it as soon as they possibly can so, I'll have all the patience it takes. Doesn't mean I don't check here twice a day!

Which DLink dongle is being used as the test mule for the new software because that's the one I'll buy so I have few issues as possible.

I've also got one of the Belkin F88003 bluetooth usb dongles and I'll probably get whatever the one the Flux guys are testing with. I've used the dongle a bit and it works ok, but I had major issues getting the drivers to work correctly. I tried the original drivers that came on the CD all the way to custom ones posted on different forums to try to get it to work. I tried a friends DLink (not sure which model) and it worked much better for phone stuff. I still use the belkin on my linux machine for different things though.

This is the bluetooth dongle that I have been testing with:
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=34
Most dongles should work well, we will provide a compatibility list when the release is ready.
So, that next question, when is the release ready? Still working hard to get this out to you soon. Working on some Vista mixer issues, finishing new features that were started, and still waiting on some last tweaks by the bluetooth stack vendor. Again, thanks everyone for your patience.

Hey Per, good to see you over in the Centrafuse forums... so do you have to use that card as your main soundcard, or can you use it alongside another one and have it just be dedicated to phone functions?

Hey there Nola..just snoopin' around
It's not a sound card at all. It sits in between your sound card (or cards) of choice and the speaker outs. The computer doesn't even know it's installed at all.
Seconding your concerns re: echo cancellation - - -I don't think any FE that puts out phone bluetooth support without addressing full duplex echo cancellation can / should state they have 'a solution'. It's just not acceptable to have hands free in the car any other way today.
