OK. Yep, that's the way to use the old noggin.

Flog the software programmers until they produce the product you want.

Oh, wait...that's never done any good for me. Have you had different results?

at least there are programmers actually working on our frontend!

CF is by far the most reliable and complete front end out there that isnt free and its about to get ALOT better.

Just be glad your not a streetdeck user, I used to be and they have nothing, in fact no one from thier company can say what the future of SD is anymore. thier screwed which is why I switched.

I talked to regan last week and he said it will be released this week and confirmed all the features that are rumored and confirmed ones that i have seen on the forums here. I wasnt going to be the first to say aything though, I didnt want to start anything that might not happen. Glad to see its really really offcial!!!

Fluxmedia should think about that.

Do you think a soft like CENTRAPHONE, which would be a sub piece of code off Centrafuse could be sold?

The Bluetooth Stack's API would always be locked to centrafuse, but in a different version (lower than SE - Standard Edition -)

So four version :

- Phone (stand alone phone soft)
- SE
- XE
- XLE

Do you think it is possible with authorization you've got with the Bluetooth stack provider?

I think those smart guys who create software run on microsoft time which is a lot like metric time but not at all like real time. Im going to wait them out.

Hi all; I TOTALLY spaced on updating folks with the results of using this $8 dongle that I got off of eBay. Things may be all for naught now, but I at least wanted to close the loop on what I promised.

So...

As a refresher, I'm talking about this dongle: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=310022462432

The dongle is sitting here working happily on my work PC. No, I haven't pointed CF 2.0 at it. This is JUST working in Windows and letting me use my phone to work off-grid.

Install was "easy", but the included CD actually had drivers for a GPS - nothing to do with Bluetooth.

Stuffing the dongle into my PC though brought up the normal Windows dialog and I just let it go looking. The dongle ID'd itself as "ISSCEDRBTA" and Windows _DID_ find drivers for it on it's own. Then the MSFT Bluetooth enumerator came in, then another driver, and all done!

Control panel, MSFT BT Wizard, discover... done!

Very painless.

Again, I know this could be moot since CF 2.0 is out, and I don't know if this is CSR, but i wanted to close a loop that I'd left open.

More info:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

$7 shipped from here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=310022462432

$5 plus shipping from here:
http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/com/CA3010.htm

I don't have any immediate plans to install CF 2.0 so I can't close that end of the loop just yet.

Update...

Possibly the best $7 I've spent...

(click for full size)
Highslide JS

Short form... I installed CF 2.0 on my work PC and that's the $7 BT radio mentioned above running with the BlueSoleil drivers.
