I have some other users that reported that setting the right codec with the microsoft utility fixed the issue, so let us know...

This is just a little info I hope will help anyone having problems getting Video/DVD play back to work in XP/Centafuse. First off I would suggest using Windows Media Player 10. In my testing I found 11 to have some/to many problems. You need to have latest Direct X installed. This is for some Codecs to work properly. Get the MS codec utility. Use it to check/register your codecs for WMP. Install the codecs for what you want to play. I would not suggest using one of the all-in-one packages. They install way to many that you will not use or need. This site has links and info to most codecs that you will need. Hope this help someone.

David, it's still not working for me. I've run the utility, set the WinDVD codec as preferred, and now I just get a black screen. The DVD still plays fine in WMP. I'm lost here. I tried selecting the other codec in the utility just to see, and still no luck.

Please advise...

Did this... no luck. Is there something else you have to do after installing it? These codecs don't show up in the above-mentioned Windows decoder utility.

I tried all the suggestions given and none work. I still get the white screen. It seems as if CF is doing nothing when the DVD option is selected and just shows a white screen. I used the given utility and I just have the PowerDVD codec but states that is not compatible with the sync. of WMP. Even so, the DVDs play perfectly fine in WMP10. WTH?

The Flux guys have said that the next release will fix some major issues that the DVD module had. Should be out any day now. Hopefully this will be fixed.

I tried it with my laptop and it works fine with it. It has Vista and interVideo WinDVD premium for Viao. It had a lot of other codecs installed though.
