Volume TOO sensitive...help
Just hooked up my PC with Centrafuse thru my Tru Technology T4.65 amp (wow!!) and I can't get the volume setup soft enough!
It's just too much...
I set the volume for alogarithmic, and I don't hear a thing until it's at 1/2 volume (?) and it goes WAY up from there...the volume on-set is abrupt...
Set up without alogarithmic, and the very lowest volume setting isn't low enough...even with the amp gain set at it's lowest setting...
It comes 'on' abruptly with that too, and gets loud fast...
Is there somewhere to adjust the alogarithmic formula for a more progressive 'on set'?
I dunno why it doesn't play anything until 1/2 volume. Maybe the line level is just too low for the amp?
I'm using an Auzentech card...they have high-voltage line levels...

I have the same exact problem. Lowest volume is too loud to hold conversation in the car. I too have an Auzentech card.

Well there is the master, wave, and program volume settings right?
So changing the master down, should work and set centrafuse to control the wave or something.

I have the Xplosion with Burr Brown OpAmps...
I think Windows is partly to blame...the volume come on in steps...rather BIG steps! |

No, I can adjust the volume in much smaller increments using the volume of Windows mixer. It's definitely CF's volume increments.

Hmmm...I'm using Virtual Audio Cable with AudioMulch, outputed thru Xplosion Wave device (only one available)...
The only way I can control the volume is thru the MAIN volume on Windows mixer...and it's in steps there too...

The main volume slider in Windows (the one you see when you first open Audio Properties) does look like it has steps because of the markers, but, if you use a stylus on your touchscreen and grab the slider, you can move it to more exact increments between the markers.
