No video/DVD sound...

I'm using Virtual Audio Cable as my output device (and then it's sent to AudioMulch, then to speakers), I have fully 8 channels available with the built in audio player, but when I load a video, or DVD (or DVD folder), it'll play the video, but with no sound...

As I understand it, CF sends music audio to the specified device in the options, but the video (5.1, etc) is sent directly to the hardware device?

No video sound!

does it work in WMP?

does the device show up in control panel, sound devices? can you set it as the default audio device?

if it does not work through the windows mixer, it will most likely not work in Centrafuse as it is...

I'm wondering if it's maybe the ASIO drivers?
I'll have to try Direct Sound and multimedia drivers...I'll report back.
Thanks for the reply Dave...

Try this out.

What's up WuNgUn, I was having the same problem I installed ff show codecs & it stated to play dvd's. Here's the website http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm. or just google ff show codecs. Hope it helps.

Cool, thanks...I'll try a codec pack and see if that works (fingers crossed)

Hmmm...before I install this, I got video audio to work. It by-passes AudioMulch, so I'm assuming it's going straight to the Xplosion sound card (not using VAC).
I went with Windows Multimedia driver (instead of ASIO)...but I dunno if that's what got it working.
However, I can't get CF to play DVD's in a folder (from the DVD menu) and audio isn't coming thru when playing DVD discs or DVD folder...
The sound card is set for 5.1 output in sound properties, so I dunno...
