GPS problem

Hi,
I'm trying out Centrafuse (I got fed up with RR, too slow) and so far, I'm very impressed. However, I have a big problem with GPS. As soon as I activate it, I get random movements and keypresses. For example, when I try to enter a street name, I get random presses of the character ÿ. Go figure! And that only happens when I activate the GPS. If I set up the wrong COM port on purpose and reboot, I have no problems.
I tried searching to no avail. Anyone got a clue?

Do you have the GPS adapter plugged into a USB hub? And is there a keyboard/mouse plugged into that hub? When you mentioned that you set up the wrong com port on purpose, did you mean setting the com port in Centrafuse Nav Settings?

No, GPS is plugged directly. I have gpsgate, so I thought that might be the problem. But I removed and same problem
Mouse and keyb are PS2. For the COM port, yeah, it's in Centrafuse Nav Settings.
Btw, thanx for trying to help me

Windows is probably detecting it as a mouse or KB.

Save this as a .reg file and run it, then reboot.

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sermouse] "Start"=dword:00000004

Bad news, that was not it I checked the device list, and there's no mice besides the one I use (a PS2 one). I wonder what the problem is. I tried some other solutions I found while googling the problem, to no avail
Any other ideas?

Weird thing... if I remove my PS2 mouse/key and plug them using the USB port, no more problem, it seems! So I guess there's some sort of conflict either with the PS2 ports or with the KVM switch I'm using. I'll test it out later. At least, I identified the problem

I actually found what my problem was! It was the stupid mouse (wireless BenQ). When I press on of the buttons, the mouse jumps! Go figure. I found out when I tried it on another computer and got the same symptoms. Now I changed my mouse and all is good (This has nothing to do with my GPS receiver after all)
