It sounds like you're running in trial mode. Know that if you buy maps for the trial, then _by license_ you would have to re-purchase them when (if) you buy the full version of CF.

Also, if you buy them from Destinator, then you need to buy the Version _6_ maps, not Version 7 (current).

This is all based on a kinda'-complex licensing arrangement that Destinator's put on the Flux folks (CentraFuse). It's a little messy, and often the best thing is to try to get a feel for Destinator from screen shots and other folk's comments, left you get into a spot where you're double-paying for maps.

No, David has said they won't. The Destinator engine in the current version of CF is based on Destinator 6. The map format seems to have changed (or the engine checks for a revision number in the data) at Destinator 7.

"Test Driving" the full map set has been a tricky issue with CF. The licensing that Destinator has put forth precludes being able to get maps from a source other than with the engine. This means that it's not allowed to, say, go to eBay, buy a used copy of Destinator 6 and drop those maps into CF.

As well, David is only allowed to (via his side of the contract with Destinator) release two mini sets of maps with the test drive, those being a part of Berlin and New York.

CF _will_ get an update to the new Destinator 7 engine, but it's not scheduled for "Soon". I think the last time David mentioned a timeline about this it was "Summerish".
