Again ID3 tag issues...

Hi all,
I'm finalizing my CarPC installation and was trying to copy my whole music library to the carputer (using the FileSync plugin): it's about 7000 songs and it took a pretty long time.

After all songs were copied I browse them and noted that some album names were interpreted as artists: I mean for example that the "Before These Crowded Streets" album by the "Dave Matthews Band" were presented in the "Artist" view of the library.

To isolate the problem I removed all songs from the library and copied only the above album: at this point I noted that actually only two songs of the album were misinterpreted, the tracks no. 9 and 10.
I tried to update the ID3 tags to version 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 and discovered that version 2.3 is, in my case, the one which better presents the data, but in any case those two songs were not still correctly presented.
Is there any who can explains this?

I'm trying to isolate this single case, but as I said in the beginning I've seen several of this example in my song library.
As a side note I would like to add that to update the Id3 tag I've used both Media Rage on my iMac and TheGodFather on the PC.

Thanks to anyone willing to help.

That's strange. Have you checked the "Album Artist" field of the ID3 tag? (this is different from the Album field and different from the Artist field). Make sure they are consistent across all songs on the album.

Ding! You got it.
I suppose I skip the easiest thing to check, thinking about something naif with the ID3 tags. Now I have to spend sometime to clean up my song library....
Thanks, Nola.
