I have the Treo 700wx from Verizon. I have been able to pair it with Centrafuse properly. I tried deleted the profile from my phone in order to repair it with Centrafuse again, but doing so, Centrafuse still stated that the phone was already paired. So, like most have done, I pair the two starting from the phone and it works properly.

One thing though, this new BT stack keeps crashing like crazy. I'm testing in both XP and Vista environment and it will crash in both. Sometimes it will crash within CF and other times it will crash as soon as CF is closed.

Question for CF, how the hell do we use the microphone????? I just bought a BT headset and it's working fine. When I open CF and the phone connects, it somehow makes the mic activate through the speakers!!! When ever I say anything, i can hear it through the speakers and if I get too close I get this annoying sound!!! So right now I can only make/receive calls and listen to the people on the other end, but I cannot respond to them due to this issue.

ps. I tried a BlackBerry of my friend as well to test. It found the phone and we tried to pair it, in the end it stated that pairing was unsuccessful and the BT stack crashed. I will need to do further testing with it, but so far it has been unsuccessful.

You need to delete the pair from Centrafuse too, not just the phone.

It's possible something is messed up because you repaired from your phone and never deleted the old link-key (or profile, i think you called it) from Centrafuse. Delete the pairings from both your phone, and Centrafuse (in the device list, click the '-' button to remove selected devices).

The mic used for bluetooth is under the control of the bluetooth stack. It uses the default recording device for your system. A few users are experiencing similar issues like this, but I believe it is a problem with the hardware configuation. We're still looking into it though, but please keep messing with hardware configuration to try and dig something else up.

Blackberry's that do not support the handsfree profile will not work. And to my knowledge, at least at some point last year, none of them did. They only supported the headset profile. We will add support for the headset profile in the future.

You cannot delete the profile from within CF, I did try that before pairing from the phone instead. Actually, that is why I ended pairing from the phone instead. CF will state something like Cannot Delete message.

I think I will have to disagree on this one. Why, because I can test the mic perfectly fine within Windows. I can go into the mic testing and speak and the bars will go up/down. I can record someting and play it back fine. The issue only appears within Centrafuse.

When I first open CF up, and the phone has yet to sync, the issue is not present. As soon as the phone syncs, then the issue will begin. It seems as if Centrafuse is enabling the mic imput to go through the speakers. It is doing something that certain point that causes this issue. I will keep messing with it to see what I can find.

Question: Should the BT headset be paired with the PC or with the Phone or both?

How do you have your mic working on your setup, if you do have it working.

Centrafuse supports a handsfree connection to your phone. What exactly are you doing with the bt headset? When you say "sync", you just mean "connected" right? As in, the headset icon gets lit? So when it connects, what is your bt headset doing at this point?

I'm trying to use the BT headset as my mic so I can respond to calls.

When I say sync, I mean connected, yes.

If I pair and connect my BT headset from the Bluetooth Places and set is as my microphone, when I open CF everything is fine. But as soon as the phone connects, the headset is somehow activated to make anything said through the mic to be heard through the speakers.

Now, the phone is not even connecting because I'm getting the stupid needed key message from the bluetooth stack.

You guys really should have release this test version with the full version of the stack and a lot of the issues with such would probably not be present. I'm going to do a full uninstall/reinstall to see if the bt stack issue goes away.

How is your mic working on your setup? Give me a step by step on what you do to have everything working.

Try using a regular mic, i.e. one plugged into your soundcard or a USB mic. We do not support concurrent connection to a bt headset in the fashion you are trying to use it in, at least not yet. The licensed version of the stack will be included in the final 2.0 release.
EDIT : try clicking the button with the opposite pointing arrows on it in the phone screen. This button is for transferring audio. Click it a few times and see if it will shut down the SCO audio channel that is open.

Using a regular mic through the computer sucks because it's not wireless and the sound hear is bad since you don't have it so close to you while speaking.

If you're theory is true, then if I disconnect the headset from the phone, then it should work properly correct?

I will try my regular mic tomorrow, but that is really not a solution, but a workaround.

Ok, I cannot test with the laptop (vista) because for some reason now the BT stack is asking for a serial.

Today I tested the phone with the CarPC inside my car. I tested the MIC, connected to the mic port, and it works fine and it's selected in the Control Panel as well. When trying the phone, the people still cannot hear me although the sound is being recorded through the Mic.

I checked the mixer settings and I think that I might have found what the issue is. CF is only using the default sound card. I have an external sound card for sound and the OEM sound card for the mic. I do this because the external sound card mic makes my voice go through all the speakers if connected to it.

So my question is this, how do I enable CF to use the device selected in the Control Panel for mic instead of the default sound card? This was working in 1.7 version because could hear me the same way that I'm currently testing.
