Oh, sorry......there are a few people mentioning the headset thing in that thread (me included) with suggested plan of attack from CF. Figured Jan would just add this to that thread, so didn't spend too much time on the description.

thanks for the link - I'm trying to get ready for work so I didn't have much time this morning to look. I'll check that thread!

And I too use the 50 posts/page setting...

There isn't an answer yet that I am aware of, but there is a "next step" there from the CF guys.

The headset thing seems to be different from what I'm mentioning...mine is just flashing at the top. None of my contacts are coming over or anything.

Unless...

Is it wanting you to use a headset instead of a microphone? This doesn't make much sense.

However, I did have the 5MB limit notice come up. Not sure what that's about.

I wish I had more time to spend on this this morning and read up on all of the threads...maybe during work I'll have a few moments.

Mine would only allow a headset. It wasn't flashing, it was just there. The 5mb thing never popped up. Reason I sent you there is because the CF guys wanted some info back on the problem (I do really like those guys). Unfortunately, I went back to SD so I can't help them. You can't run SD and CF 2.0 on the same computer.

You can Dan, but unfortunately you have to install SD second. The only reason I know that is because I wiped my HD about a week before CF 2.0 came out due to some serious driver conflicts I was having. Then, I ended up installing CF first and SD later. They both work.

@Jan: the 5MB limit is a limit of the trial version of the BluSoleil BT stack that comes with CF. The CF guys are getting the serial licenses from IVT (BluSoleil manufacturer) as we speak, and if you are a CF license owner, you'll be given a BluSoleil license to go along with it. Once entered, the 5MB limit will go away. Right now, if the 5MB limit comes up, a restart of the BT stack will start you over with the MB's.

I have the CF phone module working well with my phone. What kind of phone do you have? I too had some issues first, and even had the blinking Headset icon. What I did was delete my pairing between CF and the phone, and then initialized the pairing from the phone, as opposed to before where I initialized the pairing from CF's interface. Try that and see if you get different results.

The 5MB limit is just for these Beta/RC versions, this will be resolved once 2.0 is final...

The blinking headset means it is trying to connect to your phone, try to remove the pair and make it again from the phone, have the phone start the search and find Centrafuse... IF that is what you did, then try to search from Centrafuse and have it pair to your phone...

Then make sure in Settings\Phone that your default phone device is set to your phone and your paired device...

The current version does not have support for reading contacts, but you can add contacts manually for now... You should see it blinking the headset, then go solid to connect, it is just HFP support now so you get support to place outgoing calls, incoming call notifications, 3 way calling, call waiting, audio gateway support for hands free...

the dialed, received, missed calls all show up based on while using Centrafuse, and you can manually add contacts, import with vCard, or do an OBEX push to send contacts over...

we are adding contacts and SMS support, but getting all the HFP stuff working first...

I guess I'll try it from Centrafuse again. At first it didn't work, but I didn't give it a whole lot of time either. I paired from my phone to the CarPC (Centrafuse). I'll see if I can give it a go later today...at work now.

So since I don't use outlook on my CarPC...how do you recomend doing this? I've completely disabled Outlook express (registry and everything) since I'd never use it in the car...but if that's really the only way to import vCards then I guess I can undo everything I did.

that's cool! I like the fact that you're making sure certain features work correctly before adding a ton of features.

Jan for your contacts, the easiest way is, assuming you do have Outlook on another pc outside your car, do an export of all your contacts from Outlook, put the file on a thumbdrive and transfer to your car pc, then import.

Do you know if there is a software update for Windows Mobile 6 for your phone? Most phones that came out with WM5 in the past two years or so have some sort of WM6 software upgrade available. Check with Sprint. I say this because WM6 has some substantial improvements to the BT stack over WM5. That's not to say that WM5 shoudn't work with CF, it most definitely should. But WM6 is definitely much more an improvement over WM5, than say, Vista is over XP

I got my Sprint Treo 700wx to work...Receive calls, Dial out, Battery lvl, Signal lvl

At first, I got the blinking headset as well....Try going into your bluetooth setting on the Treo and find Centrafuse from there.

I have the Treo 700wx from Verizon. I have been able to pair it with Centrafuse properly. I tried deleted the profile from my phone in order to repair it with Centrafuse again, but doing so, Centrafuse still stated that the phone was already paired. So, like most have done, I pair the two starting from the phone and it works properly.

One thing though, this new BT stack keeps crashing like crazy. I'm testing in both XP and Vista environment and it will crash in both. Sometimes it will crash within CF and other times it will crash as soon as CF is closed.

Red, the little headphone logo will appear about 6 times before the phone gets synced with CF and from there it will begin to work.

Question for CF, how the hell do we use the microphone????? I just bought a BT headset and it's working fine. When I open CF and the phone connects, it somehow makes the mic activate through the speakers!!! When ever I say anything, i can hear it through the speakers and if I get too close I get this annoying sound!!! So right now I can only make/receive calls and listen to the people on the other end, but I cannot respond to them due to this issue.

I'll try that....however, there's really no way to export vCards from Outlook. I will try a .csv file and see if CF can recognize it.

I had updated to a WM 5 update a while back, I'm not sure if there's a free WM6 update or not. I'll try to remember to do some searching.
