I just tried to attach the .flux file, but I don't think it worked. Here is the zip file with 2 .flux files for different problems.

I think I'm having the same problems as these other people. The first couple of times I used CF2 RC2 (clean install), it would play music.

Now when I click the Music button on the main screen, it just hangs. It also hangs on certain popup dialogs, such as when I press the "i" Information button on the Radio screen, and the dialog appeared telling me that I didn't have the right hardware.

I can End Task on CF to close the UI, but centrafuse.exe stays stuck in memory and attempting to shutdown Windows just makes it hang. I have to manually turn off the PC. After 3 times of that happening, I think I'll hold off on any more attempts to use CF until a newer version is out.

Yeah, same here. When I click on the Playlists button it opens right away, but when I click on Music button, the button will change the color, but CF just hangs.

I was able to get it working better by decreasing the display resolution.

I have the carpc in the house hooked up to my 1680x1050 monitor. At that res, it was using 80+% CPU. I dropped it down to the 800x600 that I run it at in the car and its running at 20% CPU now. Much better.

One thing I noticed... I much prefer the older Day/Night skin theme, but I dont see the phone battery icon? I see it blip up there, and then dissapear. I do, however, see it in the Aura skin (which does have some nice additions, and the lack of the menu bar which is nice, too) but it doesnt work well in the car environment for me unfortunately. Is that an oversight, or is simply that there isnt enough room for it? I'd like it if it were there... wouldnt mind if the menu drop down was gone either. Any way for us to do that with a quick skin mod?

The phone does seem to reconnect after hibernation, but still no contacts or any other features? (iphone here)

Any update on iphone/itouch "ipod connectivity"?

Thanks!

Same here I'm afraid; 100% CPU usage and I am finding almost all features are hanging e.g. random play of all tracks just ends in the busy indicator on the media screen foreever; selecting rebuild library from the tools menu just shows at empty pop-up dialogue etc... I am using 800 x 600 resolution and I upgraded my previous 1.4 XLE install.

David, maybe this will help. As you can see from my previous posts in this thread CF RC2 on my machine was crashing every 15 minutes. I had everything disabled (Phone, Radio, etc.) but Nav. So I disabled the nav as well and the system was stable for several days!!! No crashes, nothing hangs. So, today I enabled the nav and it wasn't working right away. I had to reboot the PC in order to get it to work. Finaly, the nav was working, but, after a few minutes, the system crashed. I created two system reports: one before I enabled nav and the second one after the crash. I am at work right now, so I'll upload those reports tonight. The nav worked fine in 1.47 and RC1.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the logs...

did you have TMC enabled in the NAV?

we have received another update from Destinator, the NAV was beta versions as we get updates from them...

also there were major issues in RC2 with the installer, RC3 will be much better...

I did have TMC enabled at first, but then I disabled it. When is RC3 coming? I'm going on a trip next week and would like to use nav.

problem solved

I had to un-install CR2 and use CCleaner.com to clean the registry.
then a reinstall CR2 did the trick.
all working fine.

I just installed RC2 and, well, it's not going too good.

The program starts with no problem.
When I go through the setup "wizard", I can't set anything and actually have to use the Task Manager to close Centrafuse. The windows that come up to set, say, the music directories, get "stuck". If I click any of the buttons on the window, they "light up", but don't do anything.
At the main screen, clicking any of the buttons only causes them to "light up" as well, but again, nothing happens.

I'm running Vista Home Premium 32bit on a AMD64x2 system with 2gigs of ram and a 512meg video card if that helps.
