Question GPS try-before-buy?

Will there be any way to try the GPS functionality before paying for Centrafuse?

The GPS quality will be a huge factor in whether I buy CF.

I can tell you right now that that's not going to happen. There is all sorts of liscensing issues with that, so I SERIOUSLY doubt any company is going to let you try their GPS product.

CF gives you ability to at least take a look... maybe it would be good idea for FLUX to also provide a GPS track file (for GPSGate or something) of a route on maps they include in demo, so user could take a look how navigating works...

The GPS is fully functional in the demo version. All you'd need is someone to lend you their map...

Hmm... then is there a refund option if the GPS is not good enough?

that is breaking the EULA you agree to when you installed CF.

No. But I am sure you can look around the forums for people and ask them questions you have.

If you decide to not go with Destinator, then you can get a trial version of iGuidance v4 for $4 to $9 legally, and I think there is even a CF plugin for iG now too.

Unfortunately, it's just not possible to provide demo maps of the whole world. I'm sure you all will understand this.

I can say this though, from the support emails I've read through in the past few days, the time I've spent on the forums ramping up for support, as well as my own use of Centrafuse, MANY customers are VERY happy with the navigation and the maps used within Centrafuse.

What about the performance on the terribly underpowered CPU of the Infill G4?

Exactly because of legal problems I suggested to get a demo of a track around NY or Berlin (I think these two maps are included in demo) so you can see it how it works for your self...

It runs great, everything works great…. The developers are working out some performance issues that have been reported with the Bluetooth phone, but other than that Centrafuse was made for the G4…

The new RC3 has some of the last G4 issues fixed and should run even better and will be out this weekend!
