CF 2.0 - Released
David, Scott and Jan seemed to have forgotten to mention this here. CF 2.0 released back on the 1st:

Yeah...
It's not the first time in the last couple of releases that they've skipped over the MP3Car forums. If they're not gonna provide support here anymore, then the CF forum should be locked out with a post pointing to the Flux forums.
Kinda' sucks... CF's following got their start here.

They certainly should have posted here that it was released but, while the thread at the FluxMedia site is dated 1 August, CF 2.0 Final wasn't actually released until like 10 or 11 August (I'd been watching for it daily, waiting for it to come out).

Thats probably not a stupid idea. Infact it makes a lot of sense.

Correct -
The thread was started in a hidden area so that Scott and David could keep a running post going of the fixes. Consider it a staging of sorts.
Yes, someone should have posted it up over here, but let's not jump to conclusions and assume that the Mp3Car forums are being forgotten about.
The Flux Team has always said that the first line of support is on the Flux Forums. However, that's not to say that the Mp3Car forums don't still get our attention.
Keep in mind that the developers have just busted their butts for the past 6 months or so to get this release out there. They are taking some well deserved personal time off to spend with their families and loved ones. They are still on the forums daily, but everyone needs a break, including the seemingly inhuman...

If you want to keep up with CF ... become a member of the Flux forums and watch them ... why is that so hard to do? I'd rather be in tune with a manufacturer forum than reading heresay via a distributor forum ... just my 2 cents ...

Well, it's the 3rd time in recent releases. David and Scott's presence here has been really lame the last few weeks. David hasn't posted at all since the 8th and hasn't really said anything since the 4th; Scott hasn't said anything since the middle of July. Whether they're "busy" or not is irrelevant, the impression is that this forum is still available as a support line.

Agreed, but a) this is where support and interest started WAY back when, b) like it or not, this is where most of the user base still is, and c) if that's gonna be the way, then THIS forum should be shut down.

What's funny here is that you just helped make my point. This didn't USED to be hearsay, David (and Scott) USED to be here all the time.
Jan, shut this forum down and hang a note on the door. The M's are just making their reputation worse by not being here and letting "support" come from the users.

Mark -
I'm sorry, but we have no intention of shutting this forum down over here.
I'll let David know your concerns.
I will say that he has been VERY busy over the past few weeks, he hasn't posted hardly at all over on the Flux forums even in a few weeks.

I wouldn't be so sure there. While there is definitely a large user base here, I've dealt with a LOT of people who are quite obviously VERY new to the CarPC scene, having never been on Mp3Car before.

n'k, so... someone needs to start visiting and helping folks or _at least_ not blowing off release notices.

any question posted over on mp3car is always answered within a couple of days at most... I don't post over here unless I'm answering a question, so this forum is still a place where users can get support...
we did not link over to the latest release instantly, but within a few days...
I went out of town for over a week after this release...
again for everyone else, we still check this forums and your questions will still be answered... for the latest and greatest just refresh our new release forum, or wait possibly a couple of days and it will be posted on all our forums...

Hey guys, just a simple "Sorry, we forgot" would have done, rather than all the long winded explanations and excuses.

Sorry, we forgot.
Seems that wasn't going to settle it for some folks.
