How to change camera settings?

Hi guys.

I just made my USB easycap device working perfectly as a rear-cam for centrafuse, connected to a standard car camera.
It shows the picture very clear, and in full resolution.
Also when typing "record" the picture is still brilliant...BUT the result is the most crappy picture ever...240 x 176 @ 32kpbs. In other words COMPLETELY USELESS.

How do I change the settings for the camera recording?

Hej Aze
Zeecue fra dit forum her.

Mvh Morten

And in english:
Maybe you can change your settings, just like you can with a webcam, i know that Logitech, Creative and Bison webcams can do this.
This will let you change these parametres, resolution, contrast, FPS, color adjustments, mirrored image and so on.
I will think you can use this program to change the settings:

Hello Zeecue. Nice to talk to you in here...

The problem is that I don't want to have the enclosed movie-recording program installed.
First of, I don't wanna waste space for this, and second I definitely not want to have this application running in the background, to use the easycap device.

The devece it self is recognized by Windows as a "Video input device", which means that actually the built in DirectX drivers, and media codecs can use this input, without the need for any 3. part software. That's the advantage of it.
In Centrafuse also it is recognized as a camera, in the settings menu.
Also it works perfect when just viewing the picture real-time. Only the results og the recording sucks big time.
When using other programs I can set fps, compression, resolution and such. So the problem only appears when using Centrafuse.
I know that Cf has its own profile for the recording part. I just can't find any way to change it...

Ok...I just got the info that since the 1.2 version of Cf, there's no way to change the recording settings. I REALLY don't get why such a function is available, if it's useless anyway...
Hope there will be an update from the Fluxteam soon...

How did you get the CAM plugin to show your camera? I also have an EasyCap for my backup camera and it works great in showing the image in the EasyCap software but when I select the device in the plugin settings and then select the CAM plugin I just get a black screen?

I figured it out.. I have the PDC plugin as well with the camera enabled and I guess you can't use both.. When I disabled it in the PDC plugin it worked great.

Maybe you're right. I didn't installed anything except for the driver to the device.
Is the "PDC plugin" the contained program?
