He didn't mean source code... He meant just a way for an external app to get current information from CENTRAFUSE. Such as song title, duration, elapsed time, etc.... That way you could use another program to grab the info you needed and send it out to an LCD or whatever... I plan on adding this, but not sure if it will make it in the next release...

Whats the Front End that everyone uses? I really like the look and feel of this one. I have some problems with the Frodoplayer, but I don't know which one everyone recommends or uses. Any suggestions?

Go with what works best for YOU

I think most of us here have several front-ends on our pc's which we all play about with until we find what we think is best for our vehicles.

Then there are all the skins to choose from...

Frodo would probably be able to write a plugin for lcdstudio if you pay him. I don't do VB or C++ programming required to lcdstudio.

I went and checked out lcdstudio.com... I noticed he's suggested way to wire your LCD is parallel, which my app already natively supports...

if his app supports other kinds like the usb/serial ones, then I can interface with it... I love c++

Cool i ended up finding a single row 1x24 dot matrix vfd (which will match the one in my car perfectly) that has the HD44780 parallel controller that you refered to in your post about char. lcd support: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=38655

I think I'm good to go... as long as i can wire this thing up.

What type of information can be displayed on this display? Is it limited to track info or can other applications take advantage of this (i.e. navigation)

scott_fx: Currently just radio and music information... I don't have a way to grab navigation information because everyone runs a different navigation software. Once I complete my integrated navigation though (lots of other stuff is taking priority over this right now), I will be able to send navigation info to the LCD also..

any chance that other resolutions will be included in the next release, really like the look of centrafuse but the resolutions is the one thing that's keeping me from using it as i'm running at 800x480
