New Release CENTRAFUSE 1.1

Here is CENTRAFUSE 1.1. Any translation files you may have created will need to be updated to the new version, your old ones will not work. I added a few new fields and changed the meaning of some of them.

Visit http://www.fluxmedia.net for the CENTRAFUSE 1.1 download and updated screenshots!

CENTRAFUSE
Change Log (1.0 – 1.1)

The new version is 4x faster and uses almost ½ the memory. There is a new option in setup for Enhanced Graphics which makes the modes transition smoother, but at the cost of your processor. The integrated character LCD support is for the HD4478 parallel controls and can be configured via “lcd.xml” in the system folder. The new music manager has a “Play Now” button to help make it less playlist oriented. You can click “Play Now” at any point in time. If you are browsing Genres, highlight Rock, and hit “Play Now”, it will play all your music in the Rock Genre. This allows you to simply go into Albums, browse, and just hit “Play Now. Radio can now be configured to launch an external application, with full line-in muting control (make sure your line-in is un-muted), instead of using the integrated radiator. (use to launch XM program or any other radio program you want to use)

New Features in 1.1
1. speed/optimization improvements and improved memory management
2. music/video managers run full screen, a lot more touch screen friendly
3. integrated output to parallel LCD’s
4. radio can either use integrated radiator or embed an external app
5. play now button added to music manager
6. browse by album art added to music manager
7. previous button replays the current song, if past a few seconds
8. removed filter functionality and added a true search to both music/video managers
9. re-worked the listview paging and now display the current page you are on
10. automatically moves to next song if it can’t play the current one
11. when no cddb and ripping a cd, tracks now labeled with leading 0’s
12. cdripper adds id3 information to files, when available
13. cdripper appends ripped songs to your music database, no need to re-run id3reader
14. improved weather screen, easier to read
15. changed the wording in setup, easier to understand
16. added “pause video” option, when disabled it allows you to listen to video audio throughout the application when you hit back from video mode. The video is automatically paused once you click on any type of music or radio station. (note: if you using external radio program instead of integrated radiator, video will always be paused when you enter this mode. This is because I don’t have control over when to pause the video once you start using your external radio app again, but video audio will still work in all other modes)
17. added a confirmation box to the clear playlist button in music manager
18. random button now toggles between random and repeat
19. added a hide cursor option in setup that hides the cursor throughout the entire application
20. when “clear playlist” is disabled songs can be added to the end of the current playlist and when you click “Load” it will not interrupt the current playing song, but simply add the new songs to the end of the list.

Fixed Bugs in 1.1
1. loading music manager doesn’t un-pause music
2. back button remembers old selection in categories mode
3. enabling/disabling voice doesn’t cause images to display wrong
4. file copier asks for destination folder
5. hitting remove in music manager when nothing is selected doesn’t cause error
6. virtual keyboard responds to keyboard enter command
7. mute button in dvd/video doesn’t display wrong
8. centrafuse won’t crash if the database file is missing
9. when “clear playlist” disabled, current playing song is selected in music manager
10. filenames with single quotes don’t cause problems

Features planned for future releases
1. integrated GPS, using Destinator 3
2. integrated OBD II support
3. external applications page (options to pause music and/or mute line-in on exit)
4. adjustable aspect ratios in video mode
5. single click option for listviews
6. search feature within the current playing playlist
7. more options in the mixer
8. allow main left nav actions to be configurable
9. TV/Camera support
10. XM support
11. skin editor
12. file sync with PC
13. integrated visualizations
14. auto dim at specified time (day/night)
15. option to disable dvd, video, visualization, and web while driving (using OBD or serial relay port)

GPS is a must, good to see that you are working on it for a future update:

"Features planned for future releases
1. integrated GPS, using Destinator 3"

I would also suggest (if it has not been implemented yet) to integrate an interlock for video and vis using the serial input relay circuit described in Rando's thread on the subject.

SuperMike:

This option will be able to integrate with the post you are talking about...

Well, I decided to test out the Celsius feature but not the MPH feature. Maybe that's the problem.

And it was raining for a LONG time here. We usually dont' get that. Its been pretty cold lately, but it should be 21ºC tomorrow
