XPsp2 volume slider erratic using Centrafuse
Just installed XP Sp2 and centrafuse. It works perfect for a little while in Centrafuse, but after toggling with the sound sometimes it will decide to start changing on its own . . Example is it will change volume level from 3% > 5% > 2% > 0% > 2% on its own. It sometimes will either climb to 100% and stick or go to 0% and stick. When I exit Centrafuse and look at the volume properties in XP the slider bar is vibrating, moving slightly back and forth. It will resolve itself upon a reboot.
I have checked and verified that it is not my beyboard. Anyone experiencing this problem or know anything about? Looking to finally get my toy installed but it would suck to install and have the sound go crazy.
I have also verified that volume works correctly in FrodoPlayer and other media applications.

This has been reported before... Are you holding the volume down or clicking it a bunch of times? I start a thread on mouse down of the volume button and kill that thread on mouse up... It appears that sometimes my thread doesn't get killed and therefore it keeps running and changing the volume...

Yes, I am holding the volume down. I can hold it down either increasing or decreasing volume for 3 increments. Once it gets past 3 and increments to the 4th volume change it will stick.
Yep thread is still running, if I kill it in task manager processes it returns to normal.
Thanks for the response and developing this Kick *** app.

Nickernack: I will figure it out.... It probably does it when fast forwarding and rewinding also, its very similiar code... I use a powermate in my car for volume, so I haven't noticed it... I will re-create on my machine and figure out a way to fix it...

This is one of the only big bugs I have left to work out, but I can't reproduce this on any machine I have... I have tried it multiple machines and clicked away like crazy with the volume up and down and it always properly stops... Could you guys post machine specs to see if there is something in common?
I am trying to figure this one out...

Are you using a touch screen ? Check your right click settings.

Yeah using touchscreen, how do you adjust right click settings? I was just starting to figure out how to do everything without a right click too. . .

Me also volume problem. The +/- buttons (mainscreen etc...) do not work at all but the mixer panel works!
The +/- buttons do flash when pushed but no volume change.

Having the same exact problem here. Erratic volume behavior; but even if I exit centrafuse it will do this. Any fix for this?
