rjoek: When you say "very buggy" is it all related to just the PhoneControl stuff? This section is not considered stable. Is the app still "very buggy" when PhoneControl is disabled? I know the PhoneControl section is pretty buggy, because I haven't totally finished it yet. Firstly I am waiting on Zorro to have his remote PhoCo version out of beta and I also plan on extensively working with him to get all the PhoneControl bugs out. This section hasn't gotten much attention because there are not as many PhoCo users, and I have been busy with other sections of the program, but it will all be fixed...

I don't plan on leaving the BETA phase until my app is finished and all known bugs are fixed, I just went ahead and updated my website to let people know where I was going and so people would stop posting and sending me messages about donating...

Hey!

I know i'm being an arse for asking but when can we expect these new versions to come about?

Will you be releasing the v2 lite version first? as i'm assuming the other versions will take alot of coding time to complete.

The reason i ask is i too still find the basic operating of the software quite buggy (i understand that tho as its still a beta). I just use the basic stuff, music, video, gps. Thats it, no radio, phone etc.

The bugs i refer to are the ID3 tag issue earlier on as i just noticed a few songs not showing tags properly - also OGG tags? do you support them? maybe i just got them set-up wrong as they appear under 'Other' artist in the list.

Also CF randomly exits every now and then. Can't explain it, i just got to say change a song or change volume and it quits to desktop. Also graphics are still quite slow using the latest beta.

Basically i'm keen to get hold of your new version! lol are we talking couple of weeks/months etc.

Cheers! still great app btw! keep it up!

I think I'll be shelling out for the D3/OBDII version (if it supports scantool). As long as it's not too expensive it looks worth the money

cold_fusion: I have fixed many of the ID3 tag reading problems. As for OGG.. I currently only support reading IDv1 tags... I plan on adding support for others... The reason stuff shows up in Other, is that is what it defaults too when it can't find a genre type, either because the genre wasn't there, didn't exist, or in this case couldn't read it. I put them all in music, instead of not having them available at all...

As for the randoming exiting. This is the first I have heard of any problem like this. Has anyone else every experienced this? I haven't. Any suggestions on how I might reproduce these..

and we are talking about months, not weeks...

Glad to see all the positive feedback.

I too am happy to support CentraFuse efforts with a "pay-for" product.

Working as a software developer and with softare developers and programmers, I know time spent on software development is not cheap and usually GOOD software development is NEVER free -- there's always a cost, even if you steal it!

A "pay-for" version is a great way to allow those of us interested in supporting and contributing to centrafuse and fluxmedia. It's also a great way to support and insure fluxmedia will have the resources needed to continue to build, develop, and expand Centrafuse in the future.

great work David!

I would be happy to support David with this, and buy the paid for version (if it really is affordable), but I can't help asking, will the Pro version have a fully integrated Destinator compatable GPS client, including a fully open, legal, non restricted DLL?

Skraggy_uk: Yes it will have fully integrated Destinator with no limitations... Just got done talking again with powerloc about it today... Everything will be worked out fine... You can one either buy Destinator 3 PC version (coming in about 2 weeks) and my app will just automatically work, or you can buy CENTRAFUSE with Destinator 3 (I will be a distributor), which will include everything...

Check the main forum for screenshots of what I have so far on my Destinator integration..

ah figured it would take a while! look forward to it!

will you be releasing the free lite version sooner with the bugs fixes? as i assume that we are all sort of using the lite version now, give or take.

with regards to my random exiting problem, i wish i could recreate it but i can't. It doesn't happen often! maybe its something with my set-up causing it to exit for some reason. I will look into it anyway.

Cheers dude!

Hi,

in this thread you say, that we are talking about month till the next centrafuse release and in another thread you wrote there won´t be any updates or bugfixes to the current version until the next release ???

That means anyone who wants to use centrafuse has to live with all the bugs for months ?

That doesn´t sound fair for me, as this community did really much testing on centrafuse and offered several ideas for new features.

Just my 2cents...
